Welcome to Casa Lux Monica - one of a kind, bright, comfortable, spacious (2017 sq ft), brand new AC/heat throughout, and very unique property in one of the best areas of Santa Monica city. Only one block to the Whole Foods, two blocks to Trader Joe’s and many restaurants in short walking distance. Only minutes away from 3rd St promenade, the beach, Venice & Montana Ave. Easy access to all main LA attractions. NO parties, NO gatherings, NO events, NO unauthorized guests, unless approved by the owner.

-Electric Recliner and 60" TV in the FAMILY ROOM for your comfort, Bernhardt queen sofa bed, love seat, stackable game tables with games and grand piano (for display only) in the living room
-Parking permit for street parking for up to two cars will be provided free of charge
-Surveillance cameras with 24/7 monitoring are located as follows: 1 camera affixed to the exterior wall above the main entry door; 1 camera affixed to the exterior wall in the patio.
We strive to provide highest degree of cleanness and comfort for you. Pillows are certified by the American Down and Feather Council to exceed industry standards. Each pillow is covered with zipped fully enclosed waterproof, breathable and super soft pillow protector. Each mattress is covered with zipped 6 side encasement and an additional fitted mattress protector on the top. We have no carpet - only hardwood floor and tiles - easy to clean and disinfect.
All changes/moves of the booked travel dates are subject to a cancellation policy. If a date change is required, guest must cancel their existing booking as per cancellation policy and if available, book new nights at the rates stated in the new booking. Credits, if any, may be issued on a case-by-case basis, at a full discretion of the landlord and it does not circumvent current or future cancellation policy.

The property is in a nice enough neighborhood close to grocery stores and pharmacy. Just a short drive to the pier. I came here with my family (2 children) and it was very comfortable.

The property was clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the little patio and it was a bonus to have a full size washer and dryer. There were also beach towels which was a plus. We got there very late but we were able to get in without difficulty. It was a little hard to see the house numbers in the dark because they are posted on part of the building that is not illuminated. Overall it was a great location.

Little did we know that one week after our visit to see our ailing sister, she would pass. In retrospect, this home was logistically perfect for our nightly family dinner as our sister could be comfortable on the reclining leather couch while we sat at the dining room table. The four evenings the five of us spent with our sister will always be a memory that we cherish in a very special way. The first floor layout of the house made it possible for us to have this memory.The appliances in the kitchen were top of the line and all worked well. This allowed us to cook dinner and celebrate the Easter holiday with traditional foods. However the number of plates, salad plates, bowls was limited to the number of guests who were staying in the home. While the rooms are spacious and accommodating, and the sheets were superb, towels were less so and toilet paper was in short supply. We appreciated the kitchen cooking pots and sharp knives. We recommend that dishcloths be added as the small sponge provided was insufficient to properly clean surfaces. Of particular note was the beauty of the side outside area - especially in the evening. All in all, this was a lovely home and in retrospect accommodated our visit better than we could have anticipated. The neighborhood is quiet and accessibility to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods , Tartine's and other lo9cal eateries is within short walking distances. The location is ideal and parking was never a problem.

I originally booked this house to house my teammates for a weekend tournament. We are all adults aged 45+ and responsible people. We have all travelled around the world so this was not our first rodeo with VRBO, but we had a few concerns with our stay here:
1. As we were all flying from different locations across the continent, we were not all arriving at the same time. On our first night, our Ubers arrived at the house at the same time so we greeted each other on the street. As we walked to the house to access our keys, one of the neighbours poked his head out to tell us to be quiet. While I understand that this is a quiet neighbourhood, we were not partying, but rather talking while unlocking doors. The guy just kept harping, very rudely, on how much noise we were making. Talk about a cold welcome.
2. A recommendation would be please put proper toilet paper in the house. We were all very frustrated at how thin the toilet paper was in all the bathrooms, so we bought our own. The house, in general, was very bare bones in terms of supplies. For the price, we were expecting a little more. There wasn’t even a bin for recycling.
3. On our last day, I got notified by the owner about charging us extra for the 5th person in the house. While the cost wasn’t a concern, it was the principle. The VRBO ad had indicated that the house can host up to 6 people, but nothing with reference to extra costs based on the number of people booked.
