We chose the apartment because of its location, which was ideal for us, and the on-site parking. A bonus was that we had a ground floor apartment, so moving luggage was easy.
The key box system works well.
There is a clothes washer/ dryer in the kitchen, also a dishwasher. Both useful features.
The apartment is spacious with plenty of room for the two of us.
Communication with the hosts was good, and they seem willing to accept constructive suggestions for improvement.
The weather was very cold for most of our stay, and the storage heaters in the apartment were on a lowish-medium setting when we arrived. The duvet on the bed was summer weight, so our first night was cold.
No cafetiere in the kitchen and the hob would not turn on. The hosts promised to rectify both issues (blanket and cafetiere) but needed prompting on our first evening as nothing happened during the day. The person who arrived mid morning on our second day showed us how to get around the permanent child-lock on the hob, and also brought the much-needed blanket and cafetiere.
While the window in the bedroom (looking onto the main road and the parking) has a diffuse screen providing privacy, and the kitchen has a roller blind for the same reason, there is no equivalent in the sitting room, which meant that we kept the curtains drawn for the whole of our stay when we were in the apartment.
There is no guide as to how to use the Smart TV properly, so it was trial and error until we found the channels we wanted to view.
The large sofa in the sitting room is well past its best, with an uncomfortably severe sag in the seat.
The huge shower space (takes up the whole width of one wall) had no non-slip mat. The hosts say they will rectify this.
Generally, there is a lack of surfaces or shelves to put things on, especially in the bathrom and bedroom.
There is only one table in the sitting/ dining area. While it is adequate for 2 people (just) it would be far too small for 4.
We are not clear what the 'work desk' in the apartment description refers to.
There is no small table at the sofa to put things on, especially glasses with drinks - makes spillages more likely.
There is only one overhead light in the kitchen which makes food preparation difficult.
The parking bays are extremely tight, and we had to move the car out on 2 occasions to give other guests room to enter their cars.
