Stunning ocean and sunset views from the kitchen, dining room and large living room boasting a large 62" flat screen T.V. complete with cable, surround sound and DVD player displayed over a glass embedded gas fireplace for your cooler evening ambience. Top of the line sound system will entertain you as you close the blinds, drapery and lights with one push of a button controlled by our hi-tech Lutron System. This home comes complete for comfort with central heating and A/C. Although you may not want to leave this bit of paradise, there is much to see and do in and around the Newport Beach area. Property was nicely prepared and ready upon checkin. Three generations of family staying there. Ranging from 1.5 year old to 65. The beach is right outside your back door. Plenty of beach toys for children of all ages. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. If you’re used to a more stocked kitchen as far as spices and cooking spray you won’t find that here. BBQ was nice and used. Hard to light but owner responded promptly and quickly lit after.
Location was wonderful. Multiple parks within walking distance. Close to major roadways for stores and restaurants and coffee shops.
Technology within the home was ok. Blinds and shades are easily controlled. The AV system proved difficult to use for multiple ppl during our stay.
Although we knew what we were getting into with the stay with young children I don’t know if this place is best suited for young toddlers. A step between kitchen/dining and living room that blends in was worrisome. There is no pack and play at the property which we found odd as our multiple stays at other VRBOs have them as a standard feature.
The garage is tight but our rented Mazda CX-9 fit with some rearranging of the bicycles.
Unfortunately our stay was hampered by renovations to the upstairs unit. Floor replacement and demo for 3 outta 5 days there. And although the upstairs owner and contractor mentioned they made property owner aware we were not. Through our communication after our stay the dates of their starting were never shared but even with the possibility of it starting I’d hope that it at least be mentioned. But it was not.
Overall the stay was fine to good. We enjoyed ourselves. Would expect a little more at that price point and that neighborhood.
