About this house rental
A 2-minute drive from the city center, this residence was completely renovated in 2020 and classified as a 4-star furnished tourist accommodation, with all the equipment necessary for your comfort. We welcome you to this large house surrounded by two large landscaped gardens with private swimming pool and Spa, and its large terrace. You will appreciate its quality equipment, its decoration and its geographical location - in Amboise, close to the Loire castles. Ideal for a family stay.
Built in the 15th and 17th centuries, this house was notably the property of Geneviève Dehelly (contemporary pianist of Francis Poulenc).
We offer for rent this family house, in the heart of Amboise, to which the owners are very attached. For these reasons, it cannot be rented for festive events. Thank you for your understanding.
The house has 5 bedrooms for 12 beds (+ 2 extra beds for children under 4 years old).
It is composed on the ground floor:
-Entrance and cloakroom
-Large living room with fireplace, piano and connected TV
-Large dining room overlooking the garden and patio
-Equipped kitchen: induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, espresso machine, American fridge/freezer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, crockery, basic necessities, etc.
-Lingerie with washing machine and dryer
-Two separate toilets
-Two bedrooms with Queen size beds overlooking the garden, one of which has a TV.
-Two bathrooms
On the first floor, you will find:
-A bedroom with Queen size bed (with TV)
-A bedroom with a King size bed that can be separated into 2 single beds
-A dormitory room with 2 bunk beds and 1 single bed (+1 extra bed)
-A bathroom with WC
Particular care was taken in the choice of high-end bedding made in France. The duvets and pillows were made in Amboise.
Outside :
A vast landscaped walled garden laid out in the French style, with lawns, flower beds, fruit trees, rows of vines, lime trees... A large terrace adjoining the house will allow you to enjoy meals outside. A 5-seater jacuzzi awaits you to relax after a day of sightseeing. An outdoor play area (hut, slide, swings, etc.) for children is at your disposal.
A patio is in the center of the house. You can sit there peacefully to have a coffee, some reading time next to the water lily pond, the wisteria...
Simply crossing the street, a large private swimming pool (10X3.5m) awaits you in a garden protected by hedges, open and heated from May to September. It is surrounded by a terrace and trees from which you can pick fruit in season. A carport allows you to park your vehicles under cover.
Reception and handing over of keys are by prior appointment, between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Departure is no later than 10:00 a.m.

Unique property in a great location for visiting the Loire Valley.

Lovely home and property about 20 min walk from the town of Amboise its many wonderful boulangeries, shops, and castle. The pool, hot tub, and garden were perfect for our needs: private and spacious with plenty of places to sit and relax and enjoy the outdoors. The kitchen and dining areas were also spacious with lots of dishes and seats. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of extra linens and towels. One thing to note is that all except one bedroom had steps to get into the room, which was a little tricky for our more elderly guests with mobility issues. Just something to be aware of. The house is also quite old with the quirks that come with an old house, but has loads of charm and is clearly well loved by its owners. Check in was easy, but the person who met us to give us the keys spoke only French (we are English speakers). She spoke slowly so we were able to understand much of it with our basic French, but we had to use Google Translate at a few different points to make sure we were clear about certain aspects. The host was also wonderful, responsive, and helped work with us through an unfortunate issue that happened with our reservation. He also helped to quickly resolve a clogged shower drain. All in all it was a great stay and would certainly recommend.

Large rambling property with separate spaces to accommodate comfortably our group of 3 couples and 2 infants. Large outdoor areas with good sized swimming pool and spa pool. Great outdoor seating for meals.
