Old barn, completely renovated, ideal for a couple with its small enclosed garden, on the heights of Amboise, 2km from the city center. The renovation dates from 2017, on the axis of the hiking trails and 500 m from the Loire à Vélo. The cottage is situated in a very quiet area not faraway from Amboise. It has all the facilities someone would need for a comfortable stay. Josephine is the best hostess and the place is pristinely clean. The cottage has a small backyard with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy your meal or just to have a rest with a glass of wine. There is a possibility to park your car in a safe spot just in front of the gate.We can highly recommend the cottage to everyone who is looking for a peaceful place to relax after visiting the castles in the Loire Valley area. The only challenge which people may have is that the bedroom is upstairs and it could be a bit difficult for someone who has mobility issues.

Our January stay at Josephine's place was perfect. Anyone who has driven in France knows that parking can be a source of stress, so it was lovely to arrive and find we had a dedicated (and spacious) parking spot just steps from the door to our suite. We arrived on a rainy January afternoon and were thrilled to find how cozy and warm the suite was. It had everything we needed for our four-night stay. It is located right on the edge of Amboise, so feels nice and rural, but is within easy walking distance of the centre of town and the Chateau Amboise, as well as good walking trails along the Loire River. Josephine greeted us warmly and made us feel very welcome. She even gave us a lovely bottle of wine to start our visit. We highly recommend staying at her wonderful VRBO suite if you are visiting Amboise.
