Lancombes House self-catering cottages offer accommodation in beautiful West Dorset from 2 to 28 people. Our three self-catering cottages (two that sleep 12, one that sleeps 4) are well equipped properties, ideal for exploring Dorset and beyond. This listing is for The Farmhouse - a self contained cottage perfect for larger groups.
The self-catering holiday cottages are all part of a 200 year old converted barn and farm building, arranged around a courtyard.
The cottages are set in 10 acres and surrounded by the beautiful hills and valleys of this unspoilt part of West Dorset, which has been designated an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'.
The Farmhouse has 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (2 en-suite), a downstairs WC, a beautiful large, wood kitchen with a range style cooker with open plan dining area and a large lounge. Lancombes Farmhouse is perfect for large parties and groups or families who wish to rent self-catering accommodation together.
The Farmhouse has its own BBQ area, with gas BBQ and seating overlooking the valley down to the Jurassic Coast.
Lancombes Farmhouse has free Wi-Fi access.
All of our cottages are pet friendly so bring your four and two legged best friend(s) with you! We accept dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and more!
* Pets are welcome - charged at £15 each per week. £10 for a short stay.
* The Farmhouse has a change over on Fridays during peak season. (Unless by prior arrangement)
* Short Breaks available. Please contact us for details.
* The Farmhouse has a 3 night minimum stay.
* Bed linen is included. Please bring your own towels. Towels can be hired for £1.50 per hand & bath towel set.
* Cots and highchairs are available on request (subject to availability).
* Central heating.
* Wood burning stove. Supplies of logs can be bought locally.
* There is no charge for electricity.
* Kitchen is equipped with a range type cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
* Laundry facilities on site at no extra charge.
* All cottages have a DVD player, with a central DVD/Book library.
* Communal Games Room, including a pool table.

Eleven of us 8 adults and 3 children had a lovely time. We stayed for 3 nights. The farmhouse had everything you needed and the views were wonderful Will try to go back

Excellent family house for celebrating a70th and 40th birthdays . The owners were very generous with the heating.

Booked this house for a family gathering with my mum, aunts and uncles after having not seen one another for over a year. We had a lovely time, space to spread out and relax, sit in the sun and exercise the dog too. Beds were comfortable and a good nights sleep had by all. Pleaanty of room to relax in the lounge and on the landing.The drive in from Bridport is easy and the lanes are not too narrow from that direction. We would definitely consider booking again, possibly even booking out the 2 adjoining properties for a bigger family group. Only small issue was the shower in the family bathroom, it was working well but made a terrible noise, that meant we couldn't shower if others were still sleeping.Great visit, thank you so much x
