About this villa rental
The holiday home is situated at about 1 kilometer of the village La Higuera in the region of Antequera. The house is surrounded by cypresses, olive trees, almond trees and other typical Mediterranean vegetation. The spectacular view over Sierra del Torcal and over the Guadalhorce valley is a true treat.
The house has a cozy decoration and has a warm vibe to it. The house has three bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and a bathroom en suite, one has four single beds and the third one has a double bed (1,50cm) and a high sleeper bed (90cm). There is a second bathroom with a bath with hidromassage. There is a spacious living room with a settee-bed for 2 people and a fireplace. There is a dining table and a kitchen. The house is heated through electric radiators. It is possible to have internet connection through a pen drive. This has to be requested beforehand. Outside you can enjoy a self-prepared meal of the barbecue with the whole family, you could go for a swim in the pool, enjoy the sun on the lawn or read a book under the shade of the olive tree. You can enjoy a game of table tennis, there is a small goal for football and there are darts. For small children there is a swing and a slide.
The village Villanueva de la Concepcion has about 3.500 inhabitant. The village is situated at about 9 kilometers from the mountain of El Torcal de Antequera. It is a wonderful village to stroll around in and to let yourself be surprised by cozy little squares. The village is known for its high quality craft made sausages. In the village you can very well try one of the local dishes in one of the restaurants.
In the environment you can do activities like walking, mountain biking, trekking, horse riding and climbing. At 19 kilometers distance you find the village Antequera.
The city of Antequera is situated at about 509 meters above sea-level. From Antequera you can visit places like La Vega, the marches of El Chorro and the nature reserve El Torcal de Antequera. In Antequera you find many monuments that remind of the history of Andalusia and date back from the Visigoths, the Romans and the Muslims. Next to this you will find many architectonic places of interest dating back from the Renaissance and the baroque. Here, you find for example the Dolmes of Menga, Viera and El Romeral, La Real Colegiata Santa Maria Mayor de San Sebastian, the interior of the Convento de Carmen and the Alcazaba. There is also a shopping mall with cinema.
At 51 km distance you find the second city of Andalusia, named Malaga. The bathing site Nerja and her beaches are to be found at about 102 km, the natural reserve El Torcal de Antequera at 14 km, Laguna de Fuente de Piedra at 33 km, el Desfiladero de los Gaitanas at 31 km, the mountains of Malaga at 40 km and the airport of Malaga at 59 km.
Antequera is the heart of Andalusia. It is a typical ´pueblo blanco´ a white village which Andalusia is known for. The big cities of Andalusia are easily reachable from Antequera. Granada is at 102 km, Cordoba at 115 km and Seville at 160 km.
In order to visit the surrounding cities and villages you can use the bus, which goes regularly. At 17 km from the center there is a train station named Antequera – Santa Ana. From here high speed links connect Antequera with the big cities inside and outside Andalusia like Cordoba, Granada, Malaga and Madrid.

Rustige omgeving, groot huisje, uitrusting is wel op zijn Spaans. Eerste week van mei was fris, daarna lekker weer. Overdekt bbq-en en overdekt buiten eten.

On a passé un super séjour en famille dans cette maison. Les propriétaires sont sympas et les enfants ont adoré jouer dehors et au ping pong. On espère revenir très vite!
