Je voelt je gelijk thuis als je ontvangen wordt door Anastasia! De appartementen zijn omgeven door een mooi onderhouden tuin en liggen erg rustig in een mooi groen dal, met weinig andere accommodatie. En vlak bij het strand (grotendeels zand) op 150 meter afstand, waar je vanuit het terras of balkon van je appartement uitzicht op hebt. Op Karpathos kan het flink waaien (meestal uit het noordwesten), maar daar heb je hier een stuk minder last van, omdat de appartementen op het zuiden uitkijken en dus in de luwte liggen. Mini markets en restaurants liggen op loopafstand. Net als twee andere zandstranden in Kato Lefkos (een kwartier lopen), waarvan één in de luwte ligt, dus ideaal voor kleine kinderen en één met meer wind en hogere golven. Het kwalitatief beste en meer traditionele restaurant, Ellovos, ligt op 2 km in Lefkos. In de tien dagen dat ik er was heb ik het hele eiland gezien en kwam ik tot de conclusie dat ik de beste keus had gemaakt. Centrale ligging, zandstranden en een mooie groene omgeving met naaldbossen en kalkgesteente. Een aanrader is een bootexcursie vanuit Karpathos stad, helemaal langs Karpathos naar het onbewoonde eiland Saria.

It doesn´t happen often that I award an accomodation facility with the highest rating, but in this case I can do it with the best conscience. The studios are simply equiped, but cosy, well mantained and clean, obviously loyal to the local folk style. The balconies provide a nice view over an olive orchard with a bay in the background. The bay, hosting a beach, can be reached on foot within two minutes, other beaches can be found in the center of Lefkos, also within walking distance. Wi-fi works quite well, but sometimes gets slower. The overall positiv impression is further amplified by the landlord and his wife, and older greek married couple, providing a glimpse of the gentle hellenic spirit and hospitality. I hope to get an opportunity to come again.
