Cottage was very clean and had all the kitchen equipment we needed. Cottage in a lovely tranquil setting with lots of opportunities to see wildlife. Kaye and Richard are great hosts - very welcoming, warm and genuine and keen to ensure that we were happy and well-informed. Useful information about local area available in cottage.
I pretty much liked everything about our stay.
From my perspective, one thing that would have improved things would have been a larger, modern smart TV - perhaps on the wall above kitchen table - as I got a bit of a crooked neck looking up at tv in corner of the room. Other than that, maybe some instant coffee - not decaffeinated - and a few sugars ...

Where to start! The Retreat is in an idyllic and peaceful setting. The hosts are outstanding; very warm and welcoming and made our Spaniel feel right at home, so much so, he (and all of us) didn't want to leave and plan to return as soon as we can. The Retreat is set within acres of land which is perfect for traveling with a dog; guests are lucky enough to be able to walk the grounds and use the summer house. The cottage was clean, cosy, has lovely views, parking right outside, and has everything needed, and more - we were welcomed with fresh eggs and honey, produced at the farm, the duck egg yolks were the largest we'd ever seen! The cottage was warm and had a very comfortable bed and pillows. The hosts were always on hand whenever we had any questions, nothing was too much trouble, and we felt very relaxed throughout. Thank you Richard and Kaye, we cannot wait to return with friends and family.

Plenty places to sit and a lovely garden to enjoy with a variety of birds
The opening for the windows was high for me to reach.
