Welcome to our clean and comfy family bach. One Tree Point is an attractive holiday location less than 2 hours from Auckland and 20 minutes from Whangarei.
With just a short stroll to the beach it is a great area for water activities such as swimming, boating, kayaking and fishing. The bach is a few minutes walk (100m) to a safe swimming beach and has lovely views of Whangarei Harbour and Mt Manaia.
The property is flat with off street parking for plenty of cars or your boat. We are centrally positioned, with "all tide" boat ramps located within 5 minutes on either side of the bach.
The facilities at Marsden Cove Marina include a fuel jetty and a free electric vehicle charging station. This is less than 2km away, has a fabulous café restaurant with great views of boats at their moorings and a selection of services and shops.
A 10 minute drive will take you to Ruakaka Town Centre where there is a small range of shops including: supermarkets, food retailers, medical services and personal care facilities. Should you desire a larger choice of restaurants, retail therapy, pampering, bar hopping or a movie night, then Whangarei City is a 30 minute drive. En route to Whangarei is Longview Estate (wine tastings at the right time of year may include 'White Diamonds', which has a cult following).
Special Conditions:
- Smoking is allowed outside only.
- Pets are welcome (with prior approval) if you clean up after them in every respect and ensure they keep off the furniture so the bach stays nice for all to enjoy, there are no fences.
- Deck has netting along the sides but small children should be supervised at all times.
- Duvets and blankets are provided and you are expected to bring your own linen such as sheets, towels and tea towels.
- Caravans and tents need prior approval, please email first.
NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to do the dishes, take your trash with you and bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels).

We had a lovely time in one tree point,where we stayed.Very close to everything we wanted to see and go to.Lovely fish chips down the road in the blue dairy.Close to the beach or other beaches.Niceto walk around,when it’s not rainning.We enjoyed our stay and thank you.

The location of this batch was perfect. It is quiet and tranquil. The locals are lovely. We will definitely rent this batch again. Has everything you need and is walking distance (2-5mins) to beach, cafe, local store/fish and chip shop.

The Negatives: The information on the property should include that there are 10 steps up to it. The house is supposed to be pet friendly but there is no fencing and it is right beside a main road. There isnt even a gate on the deck. The house is quite cold also and the tv is not reliable. The oven is not working well, it took us over an hour to cook a pizza.
The Positives; The area is lovely and the beds were super comfortable. The house was clean and had a lovely view, however there were a number of issues with it.
