Clean, modern, comfy, quiet upper floor, nice restaurant, Viking rep in the lobby to help us get to the right dock for departure.
For such a large hotel, the front desk was horribly understaffed. I have never waited in line like this at the front desk of a hotel anywhere. With such a crowd on Viking cruises, the hotel should anticipate crowds and staff accordingly.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Hyperion Hotel in Basel for my birthday in December, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay special. To my surprise, I found a lovely birthday card and a delicious cake waiting for me in my room, which truly made me feel celebrated.
The room itself was absolutely brilliant. Situated on the top floor, it offered a stunning view over the city. Everything was in perfect order - clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the amenities I could need. I especially enjoyed the mini fridge :)
Breakfast at the hotel was nothing short of exemplary. There was a wide variety of options available. If you were in the mood for a little indulgence, prosecco was even on offer, which added a nice touch to the morning.
