Very convenient location for the Via Degli Dei, and they serve dinner which is helpful as there isn't anything else very close by. The place is very beautiful with a fantastic view. The staff is very kind and considerate - they prepared a vegetarian option for me with a very last minute request.
The rooms are a bit dated, but comfortable enough.

It's a beautiful place. The location and the view cannot be rivalled. After having read the previous reviews, I was a little nervous to stay. I must say that the service we received was lovely and super friendly. Whilst the restaurant was not open (it was a monday), the lady offered to go and buy us sandwiches and gave us drinks which we could eat on the gorgeous terrace. It is not too far from the Via Degli Dei hiking path as well. However, I do have some feedback.
I would not tell you not to stay here as it is a beautiful location and we did not think it was as bad as the other reviews had made it seem. However, the place is old and yes -it does feel like an amazing step back in time - it is unfortunately quite dated and could do with better upkeep. There were some cobwebs in the room, and a little hair in the bath. Otherwise, the room was generally clean.

The setting of the farmhouses is beautiful, with amazing views over the valley.
The external areas of the buildings and surrounding gardens were well presented.
Its a 40 minute walk from the Via Degli Dei route.
Very friendly staff
The bedroom was clean and nicely looked after with characterful features.
Upon arrival the main building felt very empty - we had to wait in the lobby area for a little while until someone came out to greet us and take us to our room. It felt like there was nobody else on the estate and we were not expected despite having a booking. The internal spaces in the main building felt very tired and in need of upkeep.
We were told that dinner would be a set menu and 30 euros per person exc drinks but were not told what was being served. The food served and overall dining experience did not meet the standard we hoped for 30 euros. The overall atmosphere didn't feel considered. I.e. no music playing while eating, external lighting was not switched on, overhearing discussion in the kitchen throughout the meal, wine not chilled, very basic food presentation.
The shower in the ensuite was very difficult to use, installed at the wrong height and temp control and shower outlet do not seem to be working properly. There was no WiFi in the room.
The entire hotel feels like it has huge potential, the setting and buildings are beautiful but the atmosphere, upkeep and general quality of the service fell short of what we had hoped for.
