I love the high ceilings and the lovely Victorian details with very comfy beds and very clean. The location is excellent and I had a room with the view of the sea. The food is also very good and the breakfast was delicious with local produce. Staff were absolutely lovely and the hotel is dog friendly as I was travelling with my dog. Really lovely stay, thank you!
The hotel could benefit from some renovation although I like the old Grand Hotel feel personally

The hotel has many virtues. it's situation is superb. The staff are very polite and helpful, it is kept very clean and the food was reasonably good. In particular, breakfast is excellent. As has been commented on by others the fabric of the building has seen better days and is badly in need of an upgrade and modernisation. As it is family owned I guess this might be an unaffordable expence in these difficult financial times but it has the potential to be a really excellent place to stay.
