Location right on Windermere, near the boat dock. For pub food, the food was good, but it was all pub food. My room was large and bright. It was up two flights of steep stairs and the staff was helpful in carrying my luggage up and down.
I stayed at this hotel in 1998. Then it had a dining room with table service; I think it also had a lobby where guests could sit. It's hard to see where to enter, because check in is at the pub. Now, it is a huge pub that also rents rooms. The same company also owns the hotel across the street and the pub menus are exactly the same. Of all the myriads of TV stations offered, BBC was missing!

the staff and rooms were really good. the breakfast was average the location is fantastic
could have provided more variety at breakfast and had more info about things going on
