Lindeth Howe

Me and my partner stayed in room 203, wonderful view, comfortable bed, perfect size for just the two of us. Breakfast was exceptional, nothing to complain about, the staff were helpful and very lovely. The area was peaceful, brilliant location, it’s about a 10 minute walk to Bowness, which was completely fine for us. And they have 3 of the cutest, friendliest cats who wait in the car park every time you walk past!! As a cat lover, this was the cherry on top for me personally😊

The windows in room 203 are quite hard to open and close, you have to use a bit of force.

Surroundings, free parking,lovely gardens, plenty of character and history in the property,friendly staff,

4pm check in for to late for a One night stay! Breakfast was poor And below average for the amount We paid We ordered the Lakeland Breakfast it consisted of 1rasher bacon 1sausage extremely well done! 1pale tomato just cooked, 1 watery mushroom,1 poached egg which was over done and rubbery 1black pudding,1 hash brown. 1fried bread and beans in a pot.sounds a lot but looked lost on the plate when fried bread removed. 1slice of toast.Had to ask for another poached egg . Coffee came in large perculater we Asked for a refill this came in a Small perculater wasn't sure why? Disappointed.

the location is great, there’s parking and food offered on site if needed

there was no fan in the bathroom so hot showers made the room stuffy

The downstairs interior of the hotel was very nice as was breakfast.

The room was very tired and the furniture needed upgrading as visibly worn. The bed was old and springy. The carpet had old stains engrained. The room was not in keeping with the more updated and luxury decor in the public areas.
