Location excellent, easy to get to from airport using train and subway. Good base to explore Brussels from. Rooms good and clean, staff very welcoming and helpful.
The room a/c wouldn't go below 19C. Service in the bar for food was slow during the evening.

Welcome was good. The location is good.
I have stayed in the previous Sofitel many times. The new model has lost much of its charm and style including the staff 'uniforms' in the restaurant. I really missed the bar, and only found the new bar on leaving as I was told the 'restaurant' couldn't make the cocktails I asked for but wasn't informed there was a bar next to it. The paintwork looks tired and needs to be refreshed. The mattress in Room 533 needs to be replaced. It is flat on one side and my wife rolled out of bed.
