Imagine yourself in a magnificent 800-hectare property, cradled by nature, with its fishing ponds and enchanting landscapes. At the heart of this haven of peace lies the charming Gîte des Orfeuilles, an old farmhouse full of character, ideal for accommodating up to 12 people. Just 1 km from the owners' house, nestled in a secret clearing in the woods, this beautiful 400 m² ensemble invites you to relax and enjoy conviviality. Comprising a main house and a carefully renovated barn, it offers a warm and authentic setting. Comfort and elegance for an unforgettable stay: 6 cozy bedrooms, spread between the house and the barn, each with its own private bathroom for your comfort. Two welcoming living rooms: a cozy corner with a wood stove for warm evenings, and another in the barn, with large openings to enjoy the sun or play table tennis. A friendly and fully equipped kitchen, perfect for sharing meals with family or friends. A refined decor blending family furniture, pieces found at antique shops, and touches of exoticism, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere. A true paradise for relaxation and escape: Enjoy the private, heated, and tiled swimming pool to refresh yourself in complete tranquility. Let yourself be seduced by beautiful walks in the surrounding forest or simply relax while admiring nature. Located in the "Les Orfeuilles" estate in Monthou-sur-Cher, this exceptional place is passionately managed by Stéphanie and David de Schrynmakers, who will be delighted to warmly welcome you. A getaway for respectful families and couples: This place is reserved for those who will respect the beauty and integrity of this precious setting. Young people under 30, parties, events, or weddings are not allowed, in order to preserve the tranquility and magic of the place. Booking conditions: The rate is indicated per person on our website. If you wish to accommodate more people, an additional charge of €55/night per person will be requested upon arrival. For a weekend, arrival between 4 PM and 7 PM on Friday, departure in the late afternoon on Sunday. For a week, arrival from 4 PM on Saturday, departure at 9:30 AM the following Saturday. Upon departure, a deposit of €1000 will be requested, which will be returned if everything goes well. Consumption fees (electricity, water, heating) will be settled according to your actual consumption, with a reading system at check-in and check-out, for fair and transparent billing (especially with the arrival of electric cars). We have all had an amazing time at this property. Stephanie was fantastic with communication in the run up to our trip, and once we arrived we couldn't have had a better time. The location was ideal and there was plenty of space for all of us to relax and spend time together. I miss it already!

We spent a perfect week with family and friends and our dogs at the house. We took superbe walks in the beautiful woods surrounding the house and visited some of the amazing castles in Loire valley.

We were lucky enough to spend a week at this property and it was just what we needed.Stephanie and David are fantastic hosts and make sure that you have all the information you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The house and surrounding area was beautiful, set in a tranquil forest with opportunities to walk and enjoy the French countryside. It had all the facilities you could need. Whilst the wifi wasnt working during our stay (not the owners fault), Stephanie generously left us some bottles of wine to compensate!We had great fun in the amazing swimming pool and spent lots of time on the decking, playing table tennis and other games.This property and the owners are highly recommended and we would love to visit again.
