Top locatie midden in het centrum van Nice! Waren met zijn drieën en iedereen had zijn eigen bed en nog tegen een zeer schappelijke prijs.
De badkamers hadden af en toe een klein beetje een riool lucht.

The location was excellent and the apartment felt safe and very quiet. However, you could just step outside and be in the heart of the city with restuarants, shops, beach and railway station at your fingertips. Also there was great communication with Casa hosts if we had any questions throughout our stay. There was imaginative use of space in this apartment and was fine for 3 people.
There were a few things that needed attention in the apartment that obviously other people had damaged. Its a shame other guests have not been careful but there was a damage deposit taken so that should have allowed for repairs. The drains were a bit smelly too.

The location was great, really central to all of Nice, beaches, eateries, train station, etc. Communication with the host was mainly good.
I didn't like the fact that a security/damage deposit needed to be paid outside of Booking.com, and we could not get access to the instructions for checking in and getting the keys without paying it. This concerned me as it is something that Booking.com advise users to be wary of. I did make contact with the hosts by Whatsapp to verify this but it seems odd. I've never had to do anything like that with Booking.com before.
The room decor is looking very tired in places now, nothing like the photographs when we booked and after the security/damage payment uncertainty, I made sure I took pictures and videos when we arrived of everything that was broken, marked or chipped just to make sure. For example, the blind in the main bedroom was unusable because there were so many of the slats bent out of shape, luckily the blind was down and it didn't need to be moved.
The toilet in the main bedroom wasn't as clean as it could have been and our instructions for checking out meant we had to clean and put away anything we had used and then take the rubbish to the bin outside. What did I pay £130 for cleaning for? We also paid an £87 linen fee but the booking states linens are provided so what does that cover?
During our stay, there was a note left on the apartment block door to advise that there would be some work done to remove and replace the concrete walkway from the apartment block to the street. Whilst the work was being done, the workmen hit a water pipe which meant we had no water for 24 hours. I advised the hosts of this but they seemed to think it was a city wide problem when it wasn't, I could see the pipe that was hit with the drill! I appreciate that this is outside of their control but no attempt was made to determine if we needed anything but there were 4 of us and it meant that we could not use the facilities we had paid for. It was just lucky that we were doing stuff outside as the noise was unbearable from 7.
