Welcome! We are delighted that you found your way to our Bonny Cottage. This endearing house is poised high in an area affectionately referred to as Happy Hill, less than a mile to the villages and Moonstone Beach (and a delightful walk if you don’t mind the hill). As one of the original early Cambria cabins, it was built in 1923. Because of the age of the house it is not suitable for children under the age of eight. If you look you will find a sweet antique photograph of the original cabin and the owners on the wall just next to the front door. People speak of Cambria itself as a beloved, almost mythical place, a real-life Brigadoon. And there are as many ways to love Cambria as there are people who love it. There is the ocean, of course, and the picturesque east and west villages with their shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants less. Hearst Castle is ten minutes up the road at the foot of Big Sur and the elephant seals (and occasionally the Hearst Ranch zebras) are along the way. There is always wine tasting, sunset-watching, stargazing… and sometimes just sitting by the fire listening to the waves. This notebook offers some information and a few suggestions, but is in no way complete. Cute little cottage amongst houses of varying architectural style, so kind of cool. It’s a walkable neighborhood if you like some inclines. Great for the pooch too! The house is cute and fairly small, the king bed was fine so my wife and I were satisfied. The kitchen was small but nice, ok for everything we needed to do. The only thing was the gas stove’s pilot light was not on so you’d have to light with a match. We did not cook anyway so no big deal. There are nice views from virtually every room. We would return for sure.

Loved our stay at this cute little quirky space. All the amenities we needed and plenty we did not - but others might!The outdoor spaces were my favorite- lovely view of the ocean over the rooftops below.The king bed was exceptionally comfortable! Can’t say anything about the other bed, we didn’t use it.The floor is a little tipsy, but expected in a 100+ year old home! Loved the automatic candles too, nice evening greeting after a day exploring the area.The cabin really is conveniently located to town and Moonstone Beach, but it is on quite a hill! I especially enjoyed perusing the bookcase! So many great books to enjoy -I did - during our stay.I would definitely stay here again. Our pups really enjoyed the trip too! Thank you SO MUCH for welcoming them into your cabin.If you’re a traveler looking for a luxury experience, this isn’t for you. If you love history, cozy, quirky places, you’ll love it here!

Warm, cozy comfortable cabin with a view of the ocean. Well appointed kitchen and two decks with seating and a beautiful old oak tree. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Short walk to Moonstone Beach.

Although the cottage was very clean. It definitely needed some maintenance done. There was no propane in the BBQ tank. The oven was in very poor working order making it hard to put a meal together. The whole was just a bit tired.
