About this cottage rental
When you book our cottage, you automatically have access to the ENTIRE cottage.
The Cottage has the main entrance on the lower floor that has one bedroom, one bathroom, and a kitchen (it has a hide-a-bed in the living room that can sleep up to 2). Also, to get to the upper living area there is a separate entrance on the second floor. There is a large open area that has one bathroom, a queen bed, a futon, a desk/office area, flat screen tv, and an upper deck with a small table and chairs.
Secluded, romantic, and relaxing Cambria guest cottage nestled in the Monterey pines of the esteemed Leimert Estates. This guest house sits on a hill above Moonstone Beach just east of Highway 1, which is just a 1-2 minute drive away. The property is privately surrounded by coast live oak and monterey pines, and yet nearby you will find yourself on the boardwalk of moonstone beach, and combing the sand for shells and moonstones.
Wood floors and cozy cabin like Interior will offer all the comforts of home. Large screen TV sits above the mantel over a cozy fireplace, surrounded by leather sleeper sofas. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need to cook your favorite meals. The kitchen is equipped with gas range and full stainless steel refrigerator along with granite countertops. There is a covered patio off the back along with a gas grill for you to enjoy the tranquil wildlife that pass by (deer and wild turkey) while listening to the distant waves of the ocean. The comfortable king-size memory foam bed along with premium linens will offer a restful night's sleep.

We enjoyed our stay at this guest cottage. Everything was comfortable and well maintained. The location was lovely, under the oaks, and just a short trip to the beach or town. Recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful VRBO in an even more beautiful setting. It's quiet, pleasant, relaxing, so close to the beach and town, we really enjoyed our stay! The ONLY issue we had was what is listed isn't fully accurate. We actually chose this place after originally having reserved another site, because it advertised KING beds in both rooms which would work perfect for two couples. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found out the upstairs, which is very roomy and large, only has a queen bed. There is also no bathtub in bathroom 2 as advertised. Also, no soap or shampoos are provided.Otherwise, this was a lovely place and we'd highly recommend it.

The cottage is in a very beautiful location, close to the Moonstone beach, but I found several things which were very disappointing about this booking. The listing did not make it clear that the cottage shares location with the main property (perhaps I needed to read description more carefully?). A very strong smell of mold was overwhelming at the first floor, and that was the very first we noticed when we entered the property. Burning scented candles did not help at all. The listing is not indicating that accessing the 2nd floor is only possible through the outdoor stairs, which is a bit inconvenient. The cottage lacks a nice set of plates, utensils and most importantly glasses (this is a wine country after all). It offers some sad looking plastic cups, mostly empty cabinets, non-inviting in general, no tea/coffee samples. The cottage was clean inside; however it needed some love outside to remove spider webs and dust. The smell inside was the most disarming fact about this rental. Did I mention this was the first booking we encountered without any shower gel/ shampoo samples in more than 15+ years of booking? These small touches will make a big difference IMHO.
