Overall, the house was clean and comfortable. It is older and could use some TLC, especially the lower floors. The carpet on 2 lower floors needs to be replaced. The oven couldn’t be used because it smoked and caused the smoke detectors to go off; and the vent wasn’t working. The outside areas lacked seating. We still had a good time. Lake Tahoe didn’t disappoint.

Stayed late January of 2025. House is 9 minutes from the stagecoach lift of Heavenly. Plenty of room (five guys, everyone had their own bedroom) with beds to spare. Amazing view, wake up each day with the sun coming over the mountains. Quiet neighborhood, but make sure you have a vehicle that can handle some snow. But if you are there to ski you will probably have that anyway. Communication with owner was great, would stay again in a heartbeat.

We loved the views and location. The kids were able to sled in the very private hillside (backyard). It’s a very quiet neighborhood, however, if it’s snowing, you should have 4 wheel drive. The dining table was perfect for family dinners and games. The home feels very spacious for 8 adults. The downstairs bunkbed room was great for the kids to have their own space, however, the bunkbeds might be more suitable for younger children. They are very wobbly and the top bunk is really close to the bottom bunk. The carpets (and a few decorative pillows on the beds) need a good cleaning, but considering it’s pet friendly and snow shoes etc., it’s fine. There were small things that needed fixing, but nothing that would deter us from renting again. You just can’t beat the views!
