About this cottage rental
Just 2 km from the Château de Chenonceau, this very comfortable gite, housed in a historic 15th century house, will accommodate couples and families. You will be here in the countryside of Tours, at the very epicenter of the region of the Châteaux of the Loire, with the high point being the nearby Châteaux de Chenonceau, Amboise, Chambord and Cheverny. Besides the Castles, the region is particularly conducive to the discovery of the famous vineyards of the Loire (Vouvray, Montlouis) and the ZooParc de Beauval.
After your visit you can enjoy your private garden and terrace as well as the 12 * 4 heated and covered swimming pool of the property (swimming pool open from May 01 to September 30, to be shared with another gîte and the owners).
At your disposal also, swings, hut and games for children as well as a ping-pong table.
In the cottage you will find all the equipment necessary for your stay:
- Equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, ...)
- Bathroom (shower, sink, washing machine, hair dryer, iron, ...)
- Living / dining room with flat screen TV
- 2 toilets
- 2 bedrooms, the first equipped with a 160cm bed, the second with a bunk bed

We spent a lovely 5 nights at the Gite de Cambalu which was well equipped and very well situated for visiting the towns and chateaux (especially Chenonceau) of the Loire valley. The setting in the countryside was very peaceful and it really nice to eat fresh eggs in the morning from the farm courtesy of our host. You could eat out within a short drive if you don’t want to eat at the gite. Aude was excellent with her communication relating to our visit and also had some very good recommendations for restaurants and wine tasting. Thank you!

We loved staying in this older and totally renovated home near Amboise and Chateau Chenonceau. It is a lovely home that is part of a renovated compound surrounded by grape vinyeards near the adorable town of Franceuil. The house is perfect with 2 bedrooms upstairs and a lovely well-appointed and renoovated kitchen and living room complete with a small but upscale gas wall fireplace for colder nights. The home has everything you need for a fantastic get-away including a lovely swimming pool outside the door in the garden. There is a patio and mowed grounds for playing and exploring. The owners Aude and Eric are wonderful hosts and made our stay just perfect. Thank you we will be back!

We had a wonderful time at this location, seeing hot air balloons each evening overhead, eating meals outside, swimming in the pool, and enjoying the wine from the organic vineyard next door. The building is well maintained, historic, and quiet. The location is excellent for accessing chateaus, biking trails, markets, and restaurants. The hosts are very helpful with information about the area. Highly recommend!

Gîte parfaitement adapté, disposant d'un très grand jardin et de nombreux jeux. La piscine est parfaitement sécurisée et dispose d'une alarme ainsi que d'un abri garantissant l'absence de chutes.
A 15 minutes en voiture d'Amboise et 2 minutes de Chenonceaux, c'est un emplacement idéal pour des vacances alliant repos et culture.
Nous recommandons vivement.
