About this house rental
Bucolic setting at La Baudinière, in the heart of Touraine. You are looking for a quiet place, closest to nature while being 10 minutes from the City of Tours and near the Châteaux of the Loire (ring road and motorway nearby), you are there!

A beautiful guest house just north of the city of Tours. The pictures don’t do it justice. We had a wonderful stay with our gracious hosts, Petra and Pascal. The location of the guest house was perfect and the park like landscape of flowers, bushes, trees and a pond made for a wonderful stay. The interior of the cottage is spacious and comfortable. We loved the open ceiling with rustic beams and upward lighting. The bedroom loft was large and the bed very comfortable. Everything was clean and well kept. The kitchen is small but easy to manage and has everything you need. There are two garden patios with views of the yard. The chickens, ducks and cats in the yard added to the ambiance. We also enjoyed using the bikes for a short ride into town. Our only complaint is that we would want more time here. Thank you so much Petra and Pascal.

The cabin was lovely, the environment inviting, and our host went above and beyond for us. She helped us book taxis when we found ourselves without a means to get to where we needed. On that note, my only warning is to make sure you have transportation prepared if you’re staying here, as Ubers will take you out to this little town but none are available to take you back. (Which is not at all the fault of the place, just something to prepare for beforehand.)
This was a wonderful place to come for our first ever visit to France!

The photos and details on Vrbo don’t do this property justice. It is much bigger than it appears with a lovely high ceiling living space, well decorated with everything you need including books, board games sports games (table tennis, basketball, badminton and boules). The garden is lovely, we enjoyed it in the company of the three ducks, the chickens and the cats – really cool. The location is great for Tours, Chateau (we went to Villandry and Chenonceau – both great!) and walking (see Walks in Loire Valley ). If you like zoos Zooparc Beauval is an hours drive, a really attractive zoo with baby Giant Panda’s, white tiger, gorilla’s, lions, a fantastic bird show and manatees (our favourites!). To top it off, Petra and Pascal are great hosts, friendly, very helpful, really good at keeping in touch and providing information – thanks, we had a great time!

Pictures & description do not describe this property. It is so much more. Beautiful home with a lot of personal touches. Petra & Pasqual were the perfect hosts. They made sure we lacked nothing. Fresh flowers & goodies on arrival. Everything modern & in perfect working order. Super great location to explore the loire valley. But the absolute best is the property itself. Very beautiful yard with pond & ducks. So awesome to enjoy the evenings there after touring all day. Highly recommend. Petra’s loving care of this place really makes it the perfect spot!
