About this house rental
Once a warehouse of the local bishop's house, the house is now a cozy apartment atop the hill of Bucciano; in the countryside south of San Miniato. You are welcomed by the small front garden, perfect to chill and read; at the ground floor with an open plan living room with a fully equipped kitchen, directly connected to the back garden. On the first floor you have the main bedroom with a queen size bed and the second bedroom with two beds; plus the bathroom with shower.
Guests can use our private village pool (shared with few other properties. Opening from the beginnig or mid-June to the season, to the end of a season. The house has two private parking spots and a WIFI connection
Bucciano is a small village of 50 souls atop a hill facing the Chiecina Valley; the wildest part of San Miniato: where the countryside meets the woods. San Miniato is at 8 kms
If you have a car, Bucciano is easy to reach from the city (the road linking Florence to Pisa and Livorno) or, coming from the opposite side, from Montaione Volterra and San Gimignano. Public transport is not so frequent but, still, we got a daily bus passing close. The are perfect if you are riding a bike or a pilgrim walking on the Francigena

Casa Valliprata is a great place to stay if you want to have rest, relaxation and a true Tuscan feel. Danielle was the perfect host. He met us at the gate, showed us around, explained about the workings of the place and recommended several nice spots in the region to visit. The pool was refreshing and clean; the house comfortable and also clean. Overall, we would highly recommend a stay at Casa Valliprata.
