About this house rental
The house is situated in an area of outstanding beauty and tranquility, with a beautiful view towards the crown of the Pisan mountains, covered by forests of pine and chestnut trees, but without having the defect isolation. It has a garden on two levels, with separate entrance, equipped with sun loungers, and, on the lower level, grid and table for fourteen people. The garden allows exclusive access to the stream below, where you can also fish.
The entrance to the apartment is independent, with a large terrace with table and chairs from where you can admire our wonderful mountains and Wart, an ancient fortress of Pisa.
Besides the access road, 10 meters and sloping down to the river Zambra, there is the garden in the countryside, equipped with deck chairs and sun, and a very large table with barbecue, great for dinner with friends, and enjoy a bit cool on the creek, after spending a day at sea.
Our major art cities are within a short time: PISA in 15 minutes, 20 minutes LUCCA, FLORENCE in 1 hour. Then there VOLTERRA, SIENA, the Sienese hills, vineyards, with San Gimignano, Vinci and
Montalcino, Tuscany then again so rich in history. In less than 30 minutes you can reach the coast, with the beaches of Tirrenia, Marina di Pisa, Marina di Vecchiano, Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, where the nightlife is not missing, then the city of Carrara in the Apuan Alps, and its marble. Just 300 meters from the house, there is the Carthusian Monastery, which is one of the largest Carthusian monasteries d 'Italy, and which houses the Museum of Natural Sciences of the University of Pisa.

Wir haben zwei wirklich schöne Wochen in Calci verbracht! Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und für bis zu sieben Personen perfekt geeignet. Hinzu kommen noch zwei Schlafmöglichkeiten auf Zustellbetten. Alle in der Beschreibung angegebenen Ausstattungsmerkmale waren vorhanden. Nur das WLAN hat am Anfang nicht funktioniert und war auch nicht immer ganz stabil.
Ankunft und Abreise mit Schlüsselübergabe gestalteten sich reibungslos. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, unkompliziert und hilfsbereit. Sie stehen bei Fragen und Problemen jederzeit schnell zur Verfügung (sie wohnen im gleichen Haus).
Auch Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es im Hof um die Ecke. Mit einem Minivan oder einem größeren SUV ist zwar ein bisschen Rangieren notwendig, aber mit ein bisschen Übung haben wir das Ein- und Ausparken dann ganz gut hinbekommen. Wenn wir gerade beim Thema Auto sind: Ja, das Objekt liegt direkt an einer Straße. Auf dieser Straße fahren pro Stunde vielleicht 20 Autos, die auch mal hupen, weil die Platzverhältnisse doch etwas eng sind, man also nicht an allen Stellen so ohne Weiteres aneinander vorbei kommt. Da muss halt den Gegenverkehr vorwarnen. Uns hat das aber überhaupt nicht gestört.
Im Ort gibt es einen Supermarkt. Außerdem gibt es mehrere Restaurants, wovon wir zwei ausprobiert haben und sehr zufrieden waren. Nicht zu vergessen ist auch eine Eisdiele, die wirklich leckeres Eis hat. Wir waren da fast schon Dauergäste :-)
Pisa ist ca. 20 Minuten entfernt, auch in Lucca und Livorno ist man recht schnell. Für die anderen "größeren" toskanischen muss man dann aber schon mit Fahrtzeiten von einer Stunde und mehr rechnen . Den nächstgelegenen Strand (Tirrenia, Sand) erreicht man bei normalem Verkehr in rund 35 Minuten. Nicht zu vergessen sind auch diverse Wanderrouten in der Umgebung, die wir allerdings nicht selbst getestet haben.
Alles in allem also eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, die wir jederzeit gerne wieder buchen würden!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour en Toscane.
La maison est très agréable, avec une grande authenticité. Elle est bien située, dans un endroit calme et proche de Pise et de Lucca.
Renzo et Elisa sont des hôtes discrets et très prévenants. Ils nous ont donné tous les conseils utiles pour notre séjour. Cela a été un vrai plaisir que de faire leur rencontre.

Wir haben uns von Anfang bis Ende unglaublich gut umsorgt, wahnsinnig freundlich aufgenommen und einfach sehr wohl gefühlt.
Die Wohnung war wunderschön eingerichtet, alles was man brauchen kann war vorhanden, vor allem viel Platz. Verzaubert hat uns der verträumte Garten mit Bachlauf (und Mücken) und die unglaubliche Freundlichkeit von Rezzo und Elisa. Da wir ohne Auto unterwegs waren, wurden wir zum Supermarkt gefahren und abgeholt, für die Kinder wurden Spiele organisiert und wir wurden mit wunderbaren Unternehmungshinweisen versorgt.
Wir hoffen unser Bambusboot findet einen schönen Platz und wir werden das hupen vermissen.

Both hosts were very friendly and the house was clean. Checking in was a bit dificult because it was done in Italian, and she doesnt speak English. The garden was across the busy road, so not at the house (not practical) and the furniture in the garden was old and not clean and the hammock was moulded. The bbq was so full of rust that you could not use it safely. There is a busy road next to the house and the drivers constantly honk, because its located in a curve of the road. Anoying when this is done as of 6:30 AM....Its located centraly near Luca, Livorno, Pisa and the beach so thats really nice. We had a lovely time in general, but the house itself was a bit disappointing. It also had no air conditioning. The owners were lovely people.
