About this apartment rental
In the heart of the historic center of Florence, a stone's throw from the Bargello Museum and Piazza della Signoria, an elegant charming apartment where you can experience the culture and art of this beautiful city.
Located in Via Ghibellina, on the second floor without elevator (30 steps) of a historic building, the apartment almost entirely overlooks an internal courtyard, and for this reason it is very quiet even if in the most lively part of the city.
The apartment has been totally renovated and tastefully decorated, creating a perfect mix between ancient and modern functionality. It can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people and it is equipped with all the amenities that will make your holiday an experience to be told.
Entering the apartment you are into the living area with a sofa, TV and a dining area with a beautiful crystal table and chairs.
The modern kitchenette is equipped with everything you need to prepare and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner whenever you want.
There three double bedrooms, each of them enriched with antiques, as well as closets or hangers, armchairs and chest of drawers, and two bathrooms, both with walk-in showers. Refined mirrors and paintings enrich the walls of the entire apartment, creating color notes in every room.
Since we are located in the Limited Traffic Zone, we have an agreement with the Garage Bargello, just in front of the entrance of the building, where you can park and forget about the car, being the major places of interest in Florence at a walking distance

THE DISTRICT
The apartment is right in the historic center of Florence, a stone throw from the main monuments of our city. Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, Piazza Domo, Bargello Museum, Dante's Birthplace, Casa Buonarroti, a 17th-century palace-museum with frescoes that houses the first marble drawings and reliefs of Michelangelo, Piazza Santa Croce with its splendid Basilica.
At a short walking distance there is also the ancient district of Sant'Ambrogio, with the homonymous church and its typical market.
This area has plenty of restaurants / taverns and clubs, that animate squares and streets with their outdoor, especially during summertime.
Here you can enjoy the best dishes of Tuscan cuisine, an informal lunch or a romantic dinner.
Ideal for couples or families with children, the district offers everything you may need during your stay.
A couple of block away you will find: a bank, a pharmacy, bars, pastry shops, ice cream parlors, pizzerias, typical and ethnic restaurants, supermarkets, hairdressers, laundrette, bus stop, gardens for children.

The location was an amazing ! Right downtown, near shops, pharmacy and stores. The air conditioner worked great and each room can control their own temperature. In general the place was fairly clean and had two bathrooms which is great when there is 3 women staying there. The owners were very responsive and kind. However, the pictures are not accurate as they must have been taken when the apartment was newly decorated. The place needs a good spring cleaning and a new paint job. The couch had an old sheet on top of it. They do not provide you with soap, shampoo or conditioner which is fine but it should be indicated. The walls are paper thin and you hear people in the next room and on the streets. As you can see from the pictures, the walls were marked up and baseboards dirty. On top of not having any body wash or soap and shampoo, the showers have no place for you to put your soap on. The headboards have seen better days. The instructions to get in could be a little better. Example, we were told to press the icons, which should have been push on the doorknobs and they should have specified to press the light switch when entering the hallway. It was pitch black walking up the hallway and up the stairs. Same for taking out the garbage, the instructions were lacking details and left us confused about where to drop them off. It’s not just outside the building….its a street away. Unfortunately I wouldn’t stay there again.

My husband, son and I spent four wonderful nights in Florence. What a magical city! And what a great home base to stay to see it all! Our apartment was clean, air conditioner worked great, and spacious and comfortable to rest our tired legs at the end of the day; had everything we needed. The management office was accommodating, replied swiftly to any questions, and clear with instructions; very easy stay!

The location of the appartment and the assistance I got from Barbara were both excellent.
The apparmtment itself, however, needs a little TLC.
Firstly, the virtual key access to the building was never needed because the front door remained unlocked throughout our entire stay.
The unit lacked the very basic nesessities for a family of 5 staying 4 nights (i.e, only 3 rolls of toilet paper, kitchen napkins, no broom, no clothes drying rack to dry clothes).
On arrival, no snacks nor bottled water was provided (just one bottle of tap water was in the fridge.
Liquid soap was provided but without facecloths (!).
Kitchen faucet aerator sprays water all over the kitchen counter.
Knobs missing on the main bedroom dresser (so we could not use 2 drawers of the dresser)
Very noisy courtyard for the second bedroom in the corner (whirring noise from the air conditioning compressor, noise coming from the neighbours) because the wooden doors accessing the courtyard are not soudproof.
Mirror in the second bathroom was broken.
We felt we didn't get our value for the 500 €/night we paid considering that we spent the previous 4 weeks in various other rentals in Rome, Montepulciano, Montalcino, and Venice, that far exceeded our expectations.
Our communication with Barbara was great, but it was our impression that dealing with a rental agency (we didn't meet the owners) makes the experience colder and more impersonal.
This is after all Florence.....and we expected more for the price.
