We loved our stay at holidaycasa Ida! Between the awnings on the balcony, the aircon (only in the living room) and the fan we managed to keep the flat at a pleasant temperature. The view from the balcony is nice enough and very calming. The beach and the old town are only a short walk away. The sea is amazing. We would highly recommend it!
A few issues with the flat bothered us. The key was very hard to turn in the lock from the inside, to the point that we didn't lock the door at night as we were worried the key would break in the lock. We didn't feel unsafe, but we would have preferred being able to lock the door. The holder for the shower head didn't stay put so we couldn't use it. And finally one of the rolling shutters in the bedroom was stuck open which meant the room got a bit hotter than necessary and was very bright at night. We hope these issues will be fixed for the next guests if not already.
Finally, a few suggestions to improve the experience further: - access to the flat is granted through 3 keys that look virtually identical. Adding a touch of colour to distinguish them would be a welcome detail. - The kitchen could benefit from a sharp knife (e.g. to cut tomatoes) and a cutting board. - Coming from abroad we would have liked more explanations on how to use the bins (there's a recycling bin on the balcony but we didn't realise that's what it was until the end of the stay) and where to put them at the end of the stay, as well as the traffic control ZTL (we're not sure if it was in effect when we were there). - Some of our questions and messages were not answered timely or at all, so more responsive communications would be welcome. - Finally, making the reservation via booking.com from abroad, we were very surprised to have to provide a 200 euros cash deposit. This was mentioned somewhere in the listing, but easily missed and very unusual in our experience of the site.
Again we loved our stay and we mean these observations to be constructive!
