Cassis rental - Very nice apartment downtown with lots of character, very bright, balcony with sea view, castle and Dirty Cape, near the port, the beach and shops. Completely renovated and new furniture, consisting of large lounge with kitchen and semi open reception room, 2 bedrooms (one with terrace), bathroom with walk in shower and separate toilet (both with window). In a quiet and gated, with parking. For 6 persons

The location is perfect. The apartment is very tidy and full of light. The host is friendly, organized and speaks English well. The furniture could use an upgrade. The living room couch is not comfortable. The shower is nice. Cassis itself is an amazing town and the calanques are spectacular!

We loved our stay here! It was perfect for me and my three friends. Flavio was a great host and gave us a lot of recommendations, and the apartment was a very short walk to the old port. Definitely would stay here again.

The property was clean, spacious, and had a lovely view. I rely heavily on reviews when traveling internationally, and while this place had many positives, our experience didn’t quite meet expectations.The main issue was check-in. The listing stated check-in at 6 PM, but two days before arrival—while already in France—the host messaged asking when we’d arrive. I explained we’d be in Cassis late afternoon at the earliest and shared our itinerary. The host then informed us that we had to be there no later than 5:30 PM or we wouldn’t be able to check in until 11 PM, as he had personal plans at 6. He insisted on meeting us in person and was unwilling to offer any flexibility. I found this unreasonable, especially since the advertised check-in time was 6 PM. I assumed the in-person requirement was due to the gated entrance, but it wasn’t explained—only that he had plans. This last-minute demand forced us to cut our day short, adding stress to a trip we had carefully planned. Other downsides:-No top sheet on the bed, just a bottom sheet and comforter. -Several wall outlets were loose or hanging.-Towels were rough and very worn, felt like canvas-Egg pan was rusted, otherwise kitchen was well stocked-The unit is on a busy roundabout, so it was noisy.Overall, the location and view were good, but the inflexible check-in and worn amenities detracted from the experience. With better communication and a few upgrades, this could be a much more enjoyable stay.
