About this villa rental
VILLA CORTINELLA
This property is a semi-detached house on two levels (I live in the other half but nothing is shared: house, garden and pool are completely private and independent), less than a 10-minute drive from Lucca historical walls.
Located in a quiet and strategic position to visit all the attractions in northern Tuscany, it is surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and other plants.
The house, the garden and the IN-GROUND 10-meters-long swimming pool are rented a group at a time: only you will use them!
This is one of the few properties in the area with air-conditioning in all the bedrooms.

* Table-tennis table (ping pong), mini football goal posts, beach chairs, sunbeds, a big table with chairs, brick barbecue
* 10 mt/5 mt/ 1,5 mt pool (lenght/width/depth), cleaned and sanitized every day
INSIDE AMENITIES
Dining/living area:
* Kitchen with induction plates, steel kettle, fridge, freezer, microwave, full flatware, pots and glasses sets, coffee moka pots and dishwasher
* A chestnut table (6 seats) plus a two places couch and TV
* Washing machine and outdoor drying racks
Two bedrooms:
* 100% cotton bed linens and bathroom towels are provided
* Every bedroom has one bathroom with sink, WC and shower
* All the rooms are air-conditioned (very rare feature here)!
* The two bedrooms have one matrimonial (double) bed at ground floor, two single beds at first floor.
One single bed can be added for a fifth guest

It is located 6 km from Lucca walls, in a great position to visit all the attractions in northern Tuscany.

Giacomo was a great host who was there to well is to the property when we arrived. He was on hand if we needed anything and bought us fresh fruit from his garden several times which was delicious. The villa had everything we needed and the pool was great. Location wise, it was a 10 minute car journey to Lucca which we visited several times. There are several restaurants close to the villa including Eva which did amazing ice creams. We really enjoyed our time in Tuscany and the villa.

De vakantie woning is echt Toscaans, weinig luxe maar prima.
Giacomo is een nette gastheer die goed te bereiken is via telefoon of app. We kregen vers fruit en groenten uit eigen tuin wat erg attent was. Toch een aantal aandachtpunten; Er zijn veel muggen aanwezig waardoor we vaak binnen hebben gezeten er is geen airconditioning, alleen maar in 1 slaapkamer boven dus het was best wel warm binnen. De keuken is erg summier ingedeeld, geen vaatwasser, geen koffieapparaat , geen schaaltjes voor soep of yoghurt deze hebben wij zelf aangeschaft en maar 3 wijnglazen voor een 8 persoonshuis. De tuin is prachtig, maar wel erg lang dus het terras om te eten is 30 meter verderop bij het zwembad, aan het huis zelf is wel een terras, maar geen tafel met stoelen om te kunnen eten.
De eigenaren wonen naast de accommodatie dus deze en gasten zoals werklui gebruiken wel de tuin om doorheen te lopen.
Een tip voor de verhuurder, probeer de werkzaamheden aan de tuin op een ander moment in te plannen want wij hebben wel wat overlast ervaren van het snoeien in de tuin er waren veel mensen in de tuin aanwezig voor het plukken van de vruchten en het bijhouden van de tuin. De elektrische en gemotoriseerd heggenscharen en dergelijken maakten veel geluid. De omgeving is mooi met Lucca en pisa, maar het strand is zeker 45-50 minuten rijden.
