We have visited Lucca many times before and either stayed outside the Walls or stayed in a hotel. This time adult children and their spouses were flying in to Italy from various locations to meet up with us, so we needed a larger space. Casa Lucky is a large Penthouse with 3-bedrooms and 3-baths. It was perfect for our trip.
Amenities in Casa Lucky were fantastic. A larger refrigerator, stove top, oven, microwave and dishwasher. A nice surprise was a clothes washer and a dryer all in their own laundry room! Washers may be normal in most Italy apartment rentals, but a dryer is an added bonus. We slept on comfortable beds with what appeared to us, to have new linens. The apartment has AC in each room with its own controls-a much appreciated feature!
The internet worked perfectly and we were able to stream Netflix and YouTube from using our personal accounts.
The location is walkable to many of the historic cathedrals , the Amphitheater, restaurants and markets. Located off a main street, the apartment was quiet and had little traffic.
The Property management is very organized and responsive. We loved having a Handbook that detailed not only about Casa Lucky's amenities, but also provided additional information regarding grocery stores, restaurants, sites to visit, all appreciated information to make our stay enjoyable.
The pricing is spot-on for this accommodation and considering the amenities within the apartment, the cost is a real bargain!

We loved the location of this home. It was super quiet all day and especially at night. We loved the style of decor for the home. For our group of 4 adults and 2 kids the set up was wonderful. We each had our own space and there was enough seating in the living room for all of us. We also loved having a washer and dryer for our clothes and towels.
For the kitchen, having olive oil, salt and pepper would be nice. More toilet paper, laundry detergent and dish towels could be given. During November, having a coat rack at the entrance would be nice. The double bed upstairs was very hard and my husband could not well. The hallway light going up the stairs only worked once and so it was very dark at night. We had to use our cell phones to light our path. This could be dangerous and should be fixed.

The apartment is very impressive when you first walk in the front door. It has been remodeled very well on the first floor with plenty of room, great decor and very nice modern kitchen. We had six adults. My partner and I were relegated to the third bedroom upstairs because it had twin beds. Unfortunately, the ceiling was so low for my six feet height that I was constantly bumping my head on the low roof ceiling rafters. This room should only be used to children who are no taller than five feet tall. Even at that height they would still have to bend down to dodge the ceiling rafters. The shower in that bathroom is smaller that the one I had on my first cruise many years ago. To make things worse, the hot water system would not regulate correctly. Only "one" person could shower at a time. If someone in one of the other bathrooms, or in the kitchen turned on the hot water, the person taking the shower would only have cold water ... not a good way to spend their holiday! I must say the management company representatives were very helpful and did everything they could when we called them.
