On the ground floor there is a romantic ensuite for 2 people, with bathroom with 32' LCD TV with satellite Loggia-entrance, large living room with fireplace, a double bedroom with third bed and a bedroom with two beds. A complete bathroom with shower, a bathroom with sink, toilet and bidet.

We spent two weeks here in June and were joined for the second week by a family with a younger child.
The property is as advertised in the listing - in a very quiet, rural, forested setting with easy access to SS223 and scenic views across to the tiny hilltop town of Pari a mile or so away. The house is a large two-level structure with the caretaker couple at one end and the rental house, pool and main garden area at the other end. It’s a very comfortable place with the upper level featuring two bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, and the main living area. The main bedroom is large and the king-size bed is of good quality. If needed there are several floor-stand fans available to assist the natural ventilation of the house. The bathrooms and kitchen were in good condition with the latter having all the glasses, plates, cookware, utensils and assorted stuff that a true kitchen requires – it was fun to cook in. Overall, the place was really clean. On the building’s lower level (outside access) there’s a utility/kitchenette/game room and the smaller apartment which our guests found very comfortable and cool along with a nice covered patio area. The swimming pool was clean and a wonderful place to come home to after a long day of touristing. The grounds are well kept (featuring many whimsical metal sculptures made by the caretaker) and there’s covered parking for a couple vehicles.
Communication with the owner was excellent from start to finish. The caretakers are wonderful - very discrete and we hardly saw them except when we needed assistance or had questions and then we were very glad they were nearby. They had good suggestions on places to visit and things to do around the region. And, as with other places we’ve stayed we found that if there were any issues (e.g. a couple chipped glasses or a scraped up saucepan) once notified the hosts quickly and happily resolved the problem. Overall we were very impressed and pleased with their efforts to take care of the guests. In summary, this is a nice place and we'd happily stay here again.

I must say, that we had high expectations for our stay in this wonderful cottage in Tuscany, and just went back I will say, that we had 13 fantastic days and everything was just like you see at the pictures.
We were 7 persons and we had plenty of space, and our kids just loved the swimmingpool. Martin the housekeeper, was very discret, nearly invisible, but very helpful everytime we had questions or needed any kind of help.
I will highly recommend this place, if you need a quiet place in beautiful surroundings.

Here, we have found a property that is off the normal tourist trails that have made Tuscany so fashionable in recent years. Its wooded setting makes it seem somewhat remote, and yet Sienna is only 20 minutes away and many other popular centres are within an hours drive. To the south west is Grosseto, which has a selection museums as well as some good bars and restaurants. Beyond that are some lovely wild beaches that can be explored more leisurely. Much closer is Pari, which sits on top of the next hill, and offers a wonderful aspect to the view from the small balcony at the front of the house. The family run restaurant provides a small selection of good local meals, while the bar a short distance away acts as the focal point for the town in the evenings, where we often had an icecream or a beer and soaked up the atmosphere of the place
The accommodation is of the highest standard: a well maintained building that retains the rustic charm that reflects its true age. It is well furnished and the kitchen offers the ability to cook for a small army, rather than just the 4 or 5 guests that the property is intended for. The couple living in the lower half of the house were very friendly and helped us find things to do that we might otherwise have missed.
This year was our second visit, and I would hope to come again in the not to distant future.

We had a wonderful couple of weeks at San Ansanino. The property is spacious and comfortable. The views across to Pari and beyond are fantastic. The place is set in woodland, with great wildlife and is very peaceful.
As the place is not in a village you need to plan food shopping, but there are grocery stores within easy drive. The closeness to the thermal pools at Petrolio was great and we used them regularly.
The caretaker is very helpful and discrete.
All in all a very pleasant stay for us.
