About this house rental
The detached house is located near the typical Tuscan village of Montecatini Val di Cecina. You can walk to the village in 10 minutes. There is a bakery and a small supermarket, bars and restaurants. The house is surrounded by a large olive grove and is very quiet. From the large covered terrace you have a wonderful view over the Tuscan hills.
On the ground floor there is a large living and dining area and an open kitchen. On the upper floor there are two bedrooms and the bathroom with toilet. The large bedroom has a double bed. In this room, a ladder leads to an open gallery on which there are two more beds (mattresses). The small bedroom has two single beds and a direct exit to its own small terrace. The Tuscan terracotta floor is everywhere in the house. In summer, the large terrace becomes a daily lounge area.
The beach is 35 minutes away. There are many beautiful sandy beaches that are worth visiting. You can have a siesta in the shade in the adjacent pine forests.
Volterra is the closest major city. This old Etruscan city attracts with its ancient amphitheater, numerous museums, Tuscan architecture, shopping facilities and a magnificent view. Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano and Florence are also so close that day trips are possible.

We liked the House and the surroundings and landschape, nearby Volterra. We didn’t like the quality ofthe insectscreens. They were broken and couldn’t properly be used.

The house is exactly as listed - a beautiful property in a peaceful setting, with the most amazing views over the rolling hills. Anneke was wonderful- giving us suggestions of where we should visit during our stay, and being accommodating with the check in to suit our flight times. The check in/ check out is contact free and so easy- just what we needed after a long travel.
The house is at the bottom of a steep hill, so a car or good mobility is a must. Also, the warning about the insect life around the property is to be taken seriously; as can be expected in a hot country in the summer (especially in a rural area) the mosquitos are very present. Nothing some bug spray and after bite can’t cure though!
The house is equipped with everything we needed, and is the perfect combination of modern and rustic.
All of us had the best time and would highly recommend - thank you so much!

We really enjoyed the house and the garden. Everything was lovely. We saw a lot of animals around the house, we really liked that.
The environment is beautiful and so much to see. The sea is only 40 minutes away, where you can eat in very lovely fish restaurants. We visited the restaurants in the village, so nice that you can go there by foot.
We like to come back!

A beautiful location a few minutes away from the village of Montecatini Val Di Cecina. The view of Tuscany with Volterra in the distance is unique and I will never forget it. The two story house is very comfortable with all household conveniences and tastefully decorated with classic wooden furniture and art. We had a wonderful time, if only we could have stayed longer.
