About this house rental
The small villa NESPOLO, is part of the small property La Collina degli Ulivi. It has a kitchen-living room with a sofa bed that opens onto the loggia, an ideal place to enjoy excellent dinners and to enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the countryside, 2 bedrooms with bathrooms. The house has independent access, garden on the olive trees of the property, free private parking. The owners live nearby to treat and welcome guests, leaving them with the desired privacy. Excellent starting point for trips to the sea, (Tirrenia, San Vincenzo, Forte dei Marmi 30 minutes by car) visits to the cities of Pisa, Lucca, Florence, San Gimignano and Volterra, trips to the wine cellars. AIR CONDITIONING to be calculated in addition to the basic consumption.

Die Wohnung liegt in der anderen Doppelhaushälfte neben der der Vermieter. Sie ist sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Für unsere Teenager-Tochter war das obere Schlafzimmer mit eigenem Bad ideal als Rückzugsort. Die Terrasse und Aussicht waren wunderbar. Je nach Windrichtung hört man manchmal eine größere Straße. Teilweise hat auch die Zwillinge der Vermieter weinen hören, was uns aber nicht störte.
Die Vermieterin Silvia war sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns für die Strandtage einen Sonnenschirm geliehen.
Insgesamt gute Lage um die Toskana zu entdecken, man braucht aber unbedingt und immer sein Auto und fährt etwa 45 Minuten zu Strand, Luca, Pisa. Nach Florenz haben wir den Zug von Pontedera genommen, was problemlos klappte.

Great location for this part of Tuscana. Super clean place. Great parking. Silvia is a delight and a great host. Could use a little more kitchen things and a proper oven, but we did great. Mosquitos were an issue in this area of Tuscana so be prepared. Silvia needs to fix the screen door before the next guest they host (it was an entry point for mosquitos). Once that is done, all well be great.... ciao!

Die Wohnung Nespolo liegt in einem kleinen Ort auf einer Anhöhe mit weitem Blick in die schöne toskanische Landschaft. Das Appartment ist sauber und die Gastgeber Silvia und Giuseppe sind sehr freundliche Leute mit süßen Zwillingen. Man wohnt in ruhiger Umgebung abseits der großen Straßen, aber dennoch liegt der kleine Ort Treggiaia sehr günstig für Besichtigungen in der nördlichen Toskana. Florenz, Pisa, Lucca und Livorno sind gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. In naher Umgebung gibt es viele Wanderwege durch die hügelige Landschaft. Wir hatten eine rundum gute Zeit bei Silvia und Giuseppe.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nespolo Cottage on the outskirts of Pontedera`in Tuscany. Our hosts, Silvia and Giuseppe, couldn't have been better. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. The villa comfortably accommodates 4-6 people (depending on the "mix"), is immaculate and enjoys a scenic view of the nearby valley. You do need a car here, because you are in a charming hilltop village away from the surrounding city. I would also suggest that you use the directions supplied by the owners, because the GPS in our rental car initially took us to a location several kilometers away.
We took several day trips to Pisa, Florence, Siena and other local attractions that were recommended by our hosts. We decided to travel by train to Florence (7 Euros each way), which turned out to be a good decision for us. We were also able to experience the Chianti Trail (part of it) and a cheese factory near Volterra, thanks to our "tour guide" hosts. If you happen to be familiar with the area, I can assure you that there will be absolutely no pressure of any sort to participate in any of the activities that we took part in.
If you want to experience the Tuscan life-style and are willing to drive yourself to most locations, you can readily schedule as many local experiences as time, and your personal preferences allow.
