Up to six people (2 double beds, 1 bunk bed in the children's room) will find a second home in this well-kept log cabin with laminate flooring, fitted kitchen, TV, stereo system, books, lots of nice details, two terraces (one of which is covered) and garden furniture. The successful layout of the house offers a large living room with kitchen and dining area, a master bedroom, a children's room, another room with a double bed, a bathroom, a hallway and a small storage room. There is a table and bench on the terrace for the little ones. The house is right on the edge of the forest. The lake is approx. 8 minutes' walk away. The beautiful golf course is right next to the holiday complex. Approx. 150m walk from the car park to the cottage. The last 25 metres are a bit steep with long stairs. see pictures. - ein sehr gemütliches Ferienhaus, mitten im Wald, gut ausgerüstet. Das kleine 'Minus': man hört außen etwas die Bundesstraße 450, beim Lesen auf der Terrasse hat es aber schlussendlich nicht gestört. Der Abstand zwischen den Ferienhäusern ist in diesem Bereich so groß, dass man andere Gäste nur wenig hört. Während unseres Aufenthaltes hatten wir besonders heiße Tage - hier bot die überdeckte Terrasse einen idealen Aufenthaltsort - und zwei Tage Dauerregen, an denen es sich im großzügigen Wohn-Essraum gut aushalten ließ. Das nahegelegene Strandbad (Fußweg 15 Min) hat mir besonders gut gefallen. Das Kaffeetrinkangebot in der Gegend ist auch sehr gut; bemerkenswert - das Café über dem Wasserablauf des Sees. Die umgebende Landschaft ist sehr abwechslungsreich; um sie auch mit dem Rad zu erkunden, hätte ich mir einen Fahrradverleih im Ferienpark gewünscht (eine Fahrradleihmöglichkeit gibt es in Bad Arolsen). Durch viele nahegelegene Kleinstädte ist das Angebot für Kultur- und Städtereisende sehr groß. Eine besondere positive Überraschung war Bad Arolsen mit vergleichsweise vielen Museen, interessanten Geschäften, vergleichsweise regem Leben in der Hauptstraße und natürlich dem Barockschloss.

Auf FeWo wird geschrieben, dass WLAN vorhanden wäre. Dem ist nicht so. Unsere Vermieterin meinte nur, dass das eine Fehlinformation wäre. Blöd wenn man noch was für die Arbeit erledigen muss und WLAN benötigt.
Matratzen sind unbequem, Rückenschmerzen vorprogrammiert.
Autolärm von der Landstraße ist sehr laut.
Ansonsten war das Haus okay.
