About this cabin rental
Kingfisher Lodge is a detached cabin with sea views Osmington Mills, Dorset. It is located on the peaceful Osmington Lodge Park with direct access to the South West Coast Path and the South Dorset Ridgeway Path.
It has three bedrooms, one double and two twin bedrooms, a family bathroom (bath with shower over, sink and WC) and an additional separate WC, the lodge can comfortably sleep six people.
Kingfisher Lodge also offers a fitted kitchen, a family dining area and a spacious sitting room with an electric fire. The lodge also benefits from central heating for cosy out of season breaks.
Outside the property you will find off-road parking for two cars and a covered balcony with furniture.
A 5 minute walk away is the lovely Smuggler's Inn pub offering fine beer and food, a great way to end a busy day.
In season you will also have access to the Osmington Holiday Park heated outdoor swimming pool, gym and Country Club.
It is a wonderful base for a family or group of friends to explore this beautiful part of Dorset.

Everything was great apart from the check in process. When we got to reception the receptionist denied all knowledge of our booking, despite me having the Vrbo confirmation number. We weren’t on the computerized system. Despite that it was sometime before she realised it was a privately owned lodge that we had booked via Vrbo and not one of their own lodges booked through their system. She asked me to try to contact the agent/owner. Then she found our docs and keys, with my surname clearly on them, on the desk next to her! Once we were in, the lodge was perfect for our needs, the location was great - perfect for the Smugglers Inn, and the country club facilities were an added bonus.

Basic and good value in a nice private country club with good facilities. Great base to explore Dorset and a 5 minute walk on a coastal path through a field to the coast and decent pub. The owners were helpful and easily contactable. We were caught out by the lack of towels but that's my own fault for not reading the blurb properly.

Quiet complex with bar, restaurant, gym and outside heated swimming pool.
Lovely views from the elevated position of the lodge. However, people with mobility issues could find the steep walk from the main buildings to the lodge difficult. I had to use my car.
The lodge has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Broadband seemed to be reliable with good speed, but needs a Smart TV to give access to all the usual apps. Bathroom really needs modernising with walk in shower, etc.
