About this house rental
This former farmhouse in the village of Bruères has been very tastefully renovated and transformed into a lovely holiday home for a family stay. The authentic details have been kept while bringing modern comfort. There is a beautiful interior garden (completely enclosed, perfect for your pet), enjoy a glass of local wine on the terrace. On the covered terrace at the back, you will enjoy the view of the hilly meadows.
The fortified town of Chinon (21km) is surrounded by vineyards and many estates invite you to tastings. You must not miss the splendidly preserved Fontevraud Abbey (37km). The impressive castles in Azay-le-Rideau (28km), La Roche-du-Maine (20km) and Le Rivau (11km) are also worth visiting. You are close to all shops and many activities (cycle paths, hiking trails, horseback riding, canoeing).
On the small desk at the entrance, there is a file with telephone numbers for emergency services and medical services, wifi code. You will also find an ironing board and an iron.

We had a great stay at La Tour Saint Gelin. The gite is ideally situated and is a great base to go and explore the many attractions in the area. We had a great time playing the monument game in Chinon castle ; we also visited the stables of the Cadre Noir in Saumur, the Bioparc in Doue-la-Fontaine and the public gardens in Richelieu. The gite is situated in a peaceful hamlet, overlooking fields and the area is a great spot for birdwatchers (little owls, hoopoes, Montagu's harrier, great grey shrikes, zitting cisticola, ...). The owners, Dominique and Lydia, were very helpful and friendly and the whole family had a lovely holiday.

Charmant huis in een zeer rustige omgeving. Je loopt zo vanuit huis de natuur en het bos in, waar veel wild te zien is. Reeën, hazen, vossen en uilen gezien ! Wijn bij de boer kopen, kasteel bekijken en middeleeuwse stadjes zijn dichtbij. Leuke ontvangst , met koekjes en verse eitjes, aardige eigenaar die alles doet voor een prettig verblijf! De omheinde binnentuin is ideaal voor kinderen en dieren.

Accueil chaleureux à notre arrivée, une maison extrêmement agréable, très bien agencée et très propre.
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en famille.
Le seul petit point à revoir est à connexion Wi-Fi.
