The staff were very helpful and friendly with recommendations about what to do in York and were always lovely to speak to after returning from a long day out. Dinner at Thai Season was delicious and authentic, would really recommend!
Staff were hard to locate outside of the restaurant's operational hours. The building would appear empty all day (the only issue we encountered was a lost postman looking to deliver a parcel to a staff member)

Very nice asian ambience, clean, well decorated, extremely courteous staff. Thai food in their own restaurant was quite good. But the best part is, we ordered food for having it late night after returning from city tour, and they went extra mile, to setup a microwave, cutlery, dishes, water bottles for us! I've never seen this kind gesture before! I would love to stay there again. The rooms were spacious, including a huge bathroom. I have paid much more in some of those branded star hotels for tiny room or bathroom or both, so this was much better!
If there is any drawback at all, it's the distance from the city centre. It's a bit far. But to be fair, it was a conscious choice. It does not have a star appearance so much, but it's nice anyway.

Excellent location and clean friendly staff
Nobody came and did our room we stayed 2 nights and no more coffee or milk was brought and no service done in the room ie beds made, rubbish removed or tidy up of the room and for the money paid was expecting that
