The Neighborhood:
Keldy Forest is idyllic woodland and sunlit glades. Coast, countryside and moorland are nearby, giving an authentic Yorkshire feel. Hike along the famous Cinder Track, cycle the 'lost' Bransdale Loop or explore the surrounding forest, where the hooting of the nocturnal tawny owl fills the air. Pickering is the closest town to Keldy and along with Ryedale's other towns of Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside, Malton and Norton, it has independent shops, art galleries, excellent restaurants, and a host of festivals and special events. Pickering is also at the end of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway line.
