About this apartment rental
The apartment, in a 19th century farmhouse, overlooks a charming little square with a well in an ancient farmhouse of 10 hectares set on the gentle Tuscan hills near Arcidosso (Gr) at the foot of Mount Amiata.
The farmhouse has been refurbished to provide comfort, autonomy and tranquility in a context of harmonious contact with nature between garden, orchard, chestnut tree and Mediterranean scrub.
The apartment consists of living room with fireplace and sofa bed, kitchen, double bedroom, twin bedroom (on request transformable into a double), bathroom with shower. The floor is in ancient cotto and the ceiling with barrel vaulted features.
It is equipped with independent heating, thermo fireplace, kitchen with electric oven, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, satellite TV, hairdryer, table, iron and free WiFi.
Outdoor facilities are also available for guests with barbecue facilities and an old wood-burning oven.

Il proprietario è stato accogliente e disponibile, abbiamo trovato un ambiente pulito e confortevole in cui vivere per qualche giorno in tutta tranquillità circondati da natura e boschi.

L'appartamento è veramente ben ristrutturato, con ancora i pavimenti in cotto originali e mobilio di qualità. In casa non manca niente e l'accoglienza di Fabrizio e signora è stata davvero molto cortese e squisita. Ci siamo stati in inverno, la casa era molto ben riscaldata ed è un perfetto campo base per visitare i paesi nei dintorni (Arcidosso, Santa Fiora, Abbadia S.S. etc...), ma anche per raggiungere le piste da sci dell'Amiata, che sono a soli 20 minuti d'auto. Speriamo di tornarci, magari d'estate e con qualche giorno in più a disposizione.

Wir (2 Erwachsene mit Kind und Hund) haben 2 wundervolle Wochen im Haus von Fabrizio und Antonio verbracht!
Die Ausstattung ist super und das ganze Haus ist sauber und alles sehr gepflegt.
Der Garten ist wunderschön und riesengroß.
Selbst im Hochsommer blieben die Schlafzimmer schön kühl und es gab vor allen Fenstern Gaze, um die Mücken abzuhalten. Da man sich in Arcidosso am Fuße des Monte Amiata befindet, ist es nicht so heiß und oftmals wehte ein angenehm laues Lüftchen. Im Garten gibt es verschiedene Sitzecken, Essplätze, Hängematten und Grills. Sogar Spielzeug für Kinder ist vorhanden.
Arcidosso hat eine romantische Altstadt mit tollen Restaurants und zwei großen Supermärkten. Die Eisdiele macht das beste Eis der ganzen Umgebung! Jeden Dienstag ist Markt und man kann ganz frisches Obst und Gemüse, Fisch, Käse und toskanische Wildschweinsalami kaufen. Selbst an heißen Tagen sind wir früh morgens am Monte Amiata wandern gegangen. Es gibt herrliche Wanderwege für alle Ansprüche. Arcidosso liegt sehr zentral in der südlichen Toskana und man kann tolle Ausflüge nach Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pitigliano, Grosseto, den heißen Quellen von Saturnia und ans Meer unternehmen. In der ganzen Umgebung kann man Wein und Olivenöl in allen Preisklassen direkt vom Produzenten kaufen. Nicht zuletzt sind Fabrizio und sein Vater Antonio ganz wundervolle und herzliche Gastgeber. Kurzum, wir können einen Urlaub bei Fabrizio nur wärmstens empfehlen und werden noch lange in Erinnerungen schwelgen! We (2 adults with child and dog) spent 2 wonderful weeks in the house of Fabrizio and Antonio!

The garden is beautiful and huge.
Even in high summer the bedrooms stayed nice and cool and there was gauze in front of all the windows to keep the mosquitoes away. Since you are in Arcidosso at the foot of Monte Amiata, it is not so hot and often there was a pleasantly mild breeze. In the garden there are various sitting areas, dining areas, hammocks and grills. Even toys for children are available.
Arcidosso has a romantic old town with great restaurants and two large supermarkets. The ice cream parlour makes the best ice cream in the whole area! Every Tuesday there is a market and you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, cheese and Tuscan wild boar salami. Even on hot days we went hiking early in the morning at Monte Amiata. There are wonderful hiking trails for all requirements.

We had a very relaxing stay for a few days at this really nice place. We enjoyed the big garden, resting in the hammocks and listening the cicadas. Everything you need is in the apartement; Fabrizio and his father are very kind and pleasant hosts. Thank you very much - hope to see you again.
