The cottage lies within half a mile of Castle Acre Priory, the site of the well-preserved remains of an 11th-century monastic site. Other local attractions include the royal estate at Sandringham, the Oxburgh Estate, Raynham Hall, Houghton Hall and Gardens, and Castle Rising, all within 15 miles.
