Old and new combine beautifully at this cheerful pet-friendly accommodation located in a rural spot deep in the Suffolk countryside. It’s located within private grounds, around 2.5 miles from the coastal resort of Thorpeness, known for its scenic boating lake and quirky buildings. Decorated in cheerful hues and with space for up to six guests, it’s the perfect getaway spot for a family or group seeking a relaxed and spacious place to stay. And since you’re just 1.5 miles from an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the local scenery is bound to impress.
The colourful lounge is a delightful space to spend time with fellow guests, with its sofas, Smart TV and cosy wood burner for sparking up if it’s chilly. In the stylish kitchen/diner, a contemporary kitchen is located at one end, and a dining table for extended group meals sits at the other. There’s also an additional sofa for chilling out after food. A door from here leads to the outdoor space, where you’ll have a private patio with garden furniture for relaxing, plus a BBQ. You can make use of the tennis courts by prior arrangement or simply stretch your legs on the large lawns surrounding the property – fantastic for walking the dog!
In Thorpeness, you can while away a few hours exploring the local shops and cafes before perhaps enjoying a leisurely round of golf or having a sea swim. In Aldeburgh, 3 miles away, the unspoilt pebble beach is a lovely location for afternoon reading or tucking into some fresh fish and chips. The National Trust site at Dunwich Heath and Beach, along with its adjacent RSPB reserve, will delight nature lovers of both the human and canine variety.
