Here you will find a unique holiday flat that has been lovingly restored in the former stationmaster's flat at Leipzig-Möckern station. Surrounded by a spacious property with garden, you benefit from a secluded location close to the centre and enjoy a high level of comfort and the lifestyle of the 1920s. On the property, the garden of approx. 300 m² is at your disposal to relax on the outdoor garden furniture or to use the barbecue area for your barbecue evening. A free parking space for your car is available. The Möckern railway station, built around 1900, is a listed building that was lovingly renovated and reconstructed at great expense in 2013 and 2014 and now offers you an unforgettable holiday. The successful combination of modern furnishings with nostalgic elements meets the highest standards and immerses you once again in the ambience of a bygone era, when the conductor ruled the platform. As soon as you arrive, follow the restored original painting in the staircase to your holiday flat on the first floor. On a living space of 74 m², two people can enjoy the comfort of a fully equipped two-room flat with wooden flooring. In the air-conditioned bedroom with flat-screen satellite TV, you can rest in a spacious double bed surrounded by two bedside tables with reading lamps. The old building has high recessed windows that let in plenty of daylight and allow you to wake up to a view of the green garden. In the heart of the flat, the living room, you can relax on a cosy canapé from the Wilhelminian era, with a large wall-mounted HD TV flat screen for entertainment. From the living room, you enter a modern fitted kitchen with dishwasher, four-zone ceramic hob and oven, which makes cooking a pleasure with its large work surfaces and high-quality kitchen utensils. Afterwards, take a seat for a cosy meal in the dining room and dine at a window seat. The daylight bathroom with WC, hairdryer and make-up mirror is also reminiscent of the Wilhelminian style and features a stoneware tiled floor with selected fittings and fine ceramics, as well as a free-standing bathtub. Möckern railway station is located in the Leipzig Möckern district. The city centre can be reached in 10 minutes by S-Bahn S1 directly in front of the house to the market square. You can also use tram line 11. The journey time to the centre is also 10 minutes in this case. There are many shops, restaurants, wine bars, pizzerias and a butcher's shop within a 500 metre radius. For those seeking relaxation, there is a small lake in the immediate vicinity, the Auensee, about 3 kilometres away. Sports enthusiasts and nature lovers can go jogging and hiking in the Auenwald forest right from the railway station. The station was closed in 2005 as the modernised ticket system rendered the building useless for this purpose.
