About this house rental
The house is located above Weinfelden in the hamlet of Weerswilen. It is the second last house of a dead-end-road and therefore very quiet. Many beautiful hiking and walking routes start right outside the front door and by car you can reach Lake Constance in 15 minutes.
On the ground floor are the kitchen, the bathroom with tub and separate shower, the separate toilet, the dining room and the living room. The veranda is accessible via an anteroom (the former "tenne").
Upstairs are the 3 bedrooms (one of which, the one in the middle, can only be reachedd via a bedroom located next to it).
IF YOU ONLY NEED 1 OR 2 BEDROOMS, I CAN GRANT A DISCOUNT.
Up to 3 outdoor parking spaces are available in front of the house.
The garden offers various cosy seats and is completely fenced.
On the same area is a permaculture fruit forest with pond. The trees are not yet huge, but the are all bearing fruit. However, this permaculture fruit forest is not part of the fenced holiday home garden.
The hiuse is furnished with individual pieces from my former shop in Zurich "Trésors de l'Afrique et de l'Orient, T.A.O. and much of it can be purchased. Visit the homepage of tao.ch for more information.
Weinfelden is the regional centre and offers everything needed. Many restaurants, specialty shops, large distributors, bank, bathing establishment, cinema, large sports facilities, wine cellars, a very pretty, small old town, etc.
Winterthur and it's cultural and gastronomic sites as well as it's beautiful old town is only 30 minutes away.
From Weinfelden train station you are in less than one hour directly in Zurich of St. Gallen.
Bern and Lucerne can be reached by train in approx. 2 hours.
Within 30 minutes or less drive, you can reach attractions such as:
- Lake Constance
- Walter Zoo, Gossau/SG
- Kartause Ittingen (Kunstmuseum Thurgau, Restaurant and Shop)
- Golf Resorts of Lipperswil and Erlen
- Appenzeller and it's beautiful landscape and Säntis mountain.
- Thermal Bath of Constance
- Beach for dogs in Altnau
etc.,etc.,
There are 2 bicycles available.
Please indicate on the occasion of your booking request, how many pets and which breeds and sizes you would like to bring.
Since I live with my two small dogs, 4 cats and some hens in the neighbouring house, any LARGE DOGS must be compatible or always be kept on a leash in the fenced garden. The fence is only 80 cm high in one area.
