About this house rental
Relax in the comfort of our classic kiwi holiday home less than an hours drive from Auckland City. Enjoy lazy summer days on the huge covered terrace or cosy winters nights around the woodburner! Plenty of space for all the family.
Located in central Leigh
- just a 2 minute walk to the local shops and the Leigh Bar
- a 700m walk to the iconic Leigh Sawmill Cafe
- 1.3km to the beautiful sandy beach of Mathesons Bay
The bach has three queen bedrooms and a spacious bathroom inside and a fourth bedroom along with a second bathroom/laundry off the patio in the sleepout. A fully equipped kitchen and a huge lounge with woodburner and fold out sofa-bed. French doors open from the dining area out onto our large covered terrace and lovely fully fenced garden complete with tree swing and sandpit for the kids.
Many local attractions are just a short drive away, including; Goat Island Marine Reserve, Pakiri Surf Beach, the famous Matakana Markets and several local vineyards.

There was a problem.with the TV and the host came all the way out to property to fix it for us the same day. We were blown away with how quickly it was sorted. The property was lovely, the kitchen well-stocked with all the equipment you'd need and the place was clean and tidy. Great location for trips to the beach or lounging around in bad weather. Thank you.

It’s a great place to stay. Peaceful and quiet. It has everything we needed. Plus it’s close to beaches and towns. The hosts were amazing answering all my questions quickly. The place was really clean and tidy.

Showers fantastic, kitchen well stocked with cooking utensil, beds comfy, fire lovely on cold night . None of the patio lights worked, nor did the power point for hairdryer in bathroom. Had issue with sleepout door, however the house keeper did resolve this promptly. Overall OK.
