About this house rental
This clean and comfortable family bach is just a short stroll across the reserve and sand dune to the beautiful white sands and surf of Ruakaka in Bream Bay. The family can easily come and go between the bach and beach several times a day.
The bach comfortably sleeps six with 3 bedrooms (King/Queen/Twin) and one combined bathroom...but can accommodate up to eight people with pull out sofa bed in the lounge.
NOTE: Pets by arrangement only - please contact us if you want to bring your fur baby.
Linen is provided (bedding/towels/tea towels etc.) and beds will be made up ready for your arrival.
There is a smart TV in the lounge so you can sign into your usual apps. Unlimited max fibre broadband is available...or you can enjoy an old school beach holiday with games, puzzles, DVDs and books...
The section is flat with easy vehicle access and has off street parking for 3-4 vehicles.
Children and teens are welcome. Kids themed bedding (Space or Wiggles) can be provided for the twin room on request. The fenced section helps to keep little ones safe.
You can hear the waves rolling in from the master bedroom...
Or enjoy a meal with the family on the deck... And cleaning up after dinner is a breeze with the dishwasher and lovely view of the reserve from the kitchen window.
Ruakaka is only 90 minutes north of Auckland and 30 minutes south of Whangarei.
The bach is just a few minutes drive from Ruakaka Town Centre - supermarket, bakery, cafe, takeaways, pharmacy, medical centre etc...
Nearby attractions include the glow worms at Waipu caves (about 20 minutes drive) and the Waipu golf club is about 10 minutes drive from the bach.
The bach is in a tranquil village setting and is a very peaceful place to escape every day life. The insulation, carpets and 3 heat pumps provide for a warm winter escape while the kayaks and proximity to the beach make for a fun filled or relaxing summer holiday.

Great location and community and amazing beach access. You nearly have the beach to yourself. Beds were super comfy and kitchen was great for feeding our family of 6. Our youngest appreciated the toys. We loved the beach toys and bikes in the garage as well as the lending library on your way to the beach. We’d certainly recommend this vbro for families to enjoy quiet peaceful neighborhood near an amazing beach.

The place was clean. Close to beach and had everything you needed plus more. Ie well stocked kitchen. Had kayaks and bikes to use. Tidy section. Was a quiet local neighbourhood.

Perfect beach house! Carrie is fantastic to work with and was very accommodating to us as new travelers. The beach is as advertised and absolutely amazing! Will try to come back.
