About this cabin rental
Step into peace, natural beauty, and deep relaxation at our Sub Tropical Paradise Retreat.
Tucked away in a lush green oasis, this handcrafted wooden cabin invites you to unwind, restore, and reconnect — all while enjoying the healing warmth of a private infrared sauna (available on site).
🛏 The spacious cabin features:
A handcrafted queen-sized bed with luxurious linens
Comfortable seating area and kitchenette (mini fridge, kettle, and toaster)
Warm, natural timber interiors and soft ambient lighting
Wide glass doors opening to a sunny deck and gardens
Your stay also includes:
Beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces to walk, meditate, or simply breathe
Optional upgrade: book soul-guided sessions, massages, or plant-based meals (on request)
Located just 20 minutes' drive from the picturesque village of Mangonui and only a 2-hour drive to the Cape, you’ll feel completely immersed in nature — while still being close enough for local adventures.

The space
The cabin comprises of one big space with a double bed, sofa bed and storage units. Outside on the deck are table and chairs, a barbecue and preparation table part of this area is covered with a roof and two sides are protected from rain by plastic screens. Outside the cabin there is a hot/cold shower and dish washing area and a separate space with a compost toilet, these are for your use only. There is a cable for internet access.
The property has three distinct areas thanks to the creeks and lush trees. You will have a third of the garden space and the cabin is discreetly hidden from our front paddock by drooping willows. There is a lovely calm energy on the land.
There is parking on site, either on gravel or nearer to the cabin on grass, with a 30 metre walk over the bridge to the accommodation. There is an infra-red sauna on site as well as a beautiful hexagonal structure used for yoga/treatments which will be available for use for a daily practice or for private treatments. We have a substantial vegetable garden so there may well be surplus food too.

If you need to use a washing machine one is located in our home, the charge for usage is $2 per wash.
