About this house rental
Safe swimming beaches minutes from home. Enjoy the crystal clear waters that are often visited by dolphins. Numerous rock pools populated by star fish, crabs and other sea-life to explore. Fruitful land-based fishing off the rocky points or out on Doubtless Bay in your boat.
Plenty of parking. Flat and sloping grassed areas including trees, gardens and lawn. Relax in a deckchair and read a book while watching the sun rise and set. Away from the sun, there are board games and a great DVD collection.
Fun all around the peninsula includes golf, wine tasting and beautiful dining just up the road at Carrington Estate. Fishing, exploring the dunes and walking on the 18kms of Tokerau Beach, horse treks, shellfish gathering, snorkelling and scuba diving, swimming at Coca Cola lake. Close to many gorgeous safe beaches.
Local facilities include small store, petrol and LPG supplies, dive shop, cafe at Carrington's Estate, and fishing store at the Rangiputa turn-off.
Suggested day trips include visiting NZ's northern tip Cape Reinga and view the Tasman Sea meeting the Pacific Ocean. Slide down the mountainous sand dunes at 90 Mile Beach. Matthews Car and Machinery Museum is 20 minutes away at Taipa. Kaitaia township is a 35 minute drive and Mangonui with fabulous cafes and fish and chips is 30 minutes away. Ngawha Hot Springs is also 90 mins away and well worth a visit.
Doubtless Bay is renowned for fabulous fishing and safe water sports. Nearby beaches include Tokerau Beach, Whatuwhiwhi (Perehipe Bay), Rangiputa, Puheke, Matai Beach, Karikari Beach and the beautiful Coca Cola Lakes.
The nearest supermarkets are at Kaitaia and Coopers Beach, so you might like to come prepared with groceries, and no WIFI, so please come prepared with data on your phone if needed. Please note the only linen supplied is pillows and duvets.

No smoking or pets on property please.
Young children need to be supervised on the rear deck as it is 1.5m above concrete.
$150 security deposit is to paid for each booking. This will be returned to guests provided all is in order, at the conclusion of the visit.
Please note there is a 2 night minimum stay.

We really enjoyed the stay! The house was clean and very comfortable. Beautiful garden which was great for bird watching. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. There were fewer kitchen staples than we expected (e.g sugar and oil).

Wonderful, wonderful property!
Location is absolutely divine, close to a number of beaches and local amenities.
The property itself was clean, spacious, and contained everything you needed for a comfortable stay.
Lorraine was extremely communicative and helpful and staying here rounded off an amazing trip - thank you!

Very comfortable, tidy, clean house. Freshly painted, clean bathrooms, comfortable beds and furniture. Unfortunately the fridge wasn't working the best for us. Everything else was great. Nice and roomy for a family. Easy boat parking. Thank you for letting us stay.
