This place is exceptional just like all of the other reviews have indicated. I can't offer anything else that hasn't already been said. We use VRBO frequently and this was the best experience we've ever had.
In terms of notes, there's a spiral staircase that's charming and unique, but may also be challenging depending on your dexterity. Doorways are authentic, so if you're over 5' 4", you'll quickly learn to "bow your head"!

This is a gem of a building right off the town hall square in Sancerre. Lovely living/kitchen area and 2 bedrooms and baths. Well-stocked kitchen. Not a good place to stay if you don't like climbing up and down a narrow stone spiral staircase, but this made it even more "sympathique" and lovely for us. Our host couldn't have been nicer. She didn't speak English well but could communicate fine via text. I speak high school French, so we found a great intersection. She provided wonderful recommendations on what to do and where to eat. There is a fancier, more modern hotel along the river, but we far preferred the character and space of this place.
