The young woman at the front desk and all of the employees were so welcoming and accommodating. Facilities inside the historic building are more modern than in many French hotels, including an elevator, king-size bed, and large sleeping area and bathroom. Surrounded by vineyards in rolling terrain where Sancerre wines are made, we loved that the same family owns the hotel, restaurant, and Henri Bourgeoise winemaking enterprise. So nice to be able to dine in the superb on-site restaurant and walk up an adjacent hill for a guided tour/tasting. Highly recommend doing it all!

Nice little hotel quite central in Chavignol.
Everything was very nice. Breakfast could have been served a little longer than just until 9.30. After all, were are not all early rising village people :)
