About this apartment rental
Diverticolo of the Via Francigena and the Via Cassia, the Casa Vacanze Linearis and the Podere Sertofano offer travelers the chance to relax in the sweet calm of the welcoming Tuscan countryside. Driving a few kilometers by car you arrive at the Florence-Siena motorway which will allow you to easily reach the main Tuscan cities of art, the many places of artistic, historical and cultural interest, some renowned throughout the world, others yet to be discovered.
In 1998 our family bought the farmhouse and its agricultural outbuildings which have been carefully restored for six years, respecting their authenticity. The oldest part dates back to 1600, a period in which the farmhouse was built throughout Tuscany, and was used as a watchtower. Subsequently, the rest of the building was added to the tower at different times, the last dating back to 1847, thus becoming a farmhouse with apartments on the upper floor and stables on the lower floor. The farmhouse is today at the center of our farm which deals with the production of extra virgin olive oil, with cold-pressed IGP brand and production of chianti with a controlled and guaranteed denomination of origin (DOCG).
The Casa Vacanze Linearis consists of six apartments, all built in the walls of the old farmhouse, the two apartments of the Agriturismo Sertofano have been created from the old barn. Next to the apartments there is another small renovated barn in the laundry-ironing room, a public bathroom, information point and internet area for the customer; what was once the tool shed is today the Reception.
The company is family run, one of the managers lives in the structure, our love for this land I hope you can understand from the care of the garden that in the warm months we water with rainwater collected in a cistern with barrel vaults. We also own a small photovoltaic system for the production of electricity. The company is obliged to separate waste.
Surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and monumental plants, the apartments are all independent, equipped with every comfort and furnished with taste, simplicity and color. Each also has its own outdoor furniture.
The structure has a swimming pool with entrance to the beach and a maximum depth of 160 cm open from Easter to the end of September. On the opposite side to the pool we find the barbecue area with outdoor tables and next to it the children's play area. In addition to outdoor parking, our guests can use a covered garage against payment. We also have a Wi-Fi Internet that we offer for free, active throughout the garden. In love with nature, pesticides are not used and we are careful to use sustainable products for cleaning the apartments. You will not find the microwave oven because it is harmful to your health, no bathtubs have been inserted to limit the waste of water and water taps have been fitted to all the taps. At night the structure is illuminated in a sober way thanks to energy-saving lamps that allow those who intend to dine by candlelight to do so by looking at the stars. Apartment J is on two floors, first floor and ground floor. It has a large and bright living room with a double sofa bed and a main entrance door to the internal courtyard near the barbecue area and children's play area. The kitchen is in a separate compartment with a door to the garden and access to its own outdoor table. On the ground floor there is also a bathroom with shower. On the first floor there is a double bedroom, a square and a half bedroom and a bathroom, without shower. The apartment can accommodate up to 6 people. The apartment is suitable for overcoming architectural barriers. In fact, with the appropriate platforms, the entrance to the apartment was conceived from the living room with sofa bed for overnight stay, access ramp to the kitchen and bathroom suitable for callers.
